No, you do not need to apply to IFHP, this letter confirms you are eligible for it.

Now you can go to a panel physician and get your immigration medical exam conducted without any costs.

It will be some time until you recieve a another letter or notice from the ircc (in my case it was after 1.5 months) to submit your biometrics and passport. After which you shall wait more to be called back for an eligibility interview which confirms if they'll grant you a refugee claimant protection document

Hello good people I need your help please. I received notice of acknowledgement today with the following message but my portal showed me medical is passed. Note: (I took my medical 5 month ago for my visitor visa out side of Canada. Please let me know are they using this medical result for my refugee claim? or should I do medical exam again in Canada?). I am confused, which one is correct the letter or portal?

Hi. I went to the eligibility interview yesterday at Etobicoke. A huge number of refugees there. I learnt that everyday they deal with at least 350+
Yesterday there was no interview, officers simply handed over the refugee claimant document and attached papers to refugees. I think this is because of the huge number of refugee.

IRCC officers are doing really tremendous efforts. They try to expedite the process, but what I understand is that there are around 1.3 refugees in Canada in 2023. Here in the forum, there is one post that states that until the end of August the outstanding number of refugee applications is over 120,000 :(

Once govt gives you a work permit, you are the least of their worries. If you are able to find work, that should help keep you out of the anxiety loop.

Will you be getting the work permit prior to the eligibility interview?
do you apply for the work permit or it will automatically be given to you?

Usually in few cases i have seen that they received the work permit first and then were invited for an eligibility interview.
If you are filing it online there is an option to seek work authorization - make sure to check that box. incase you missed it you can still apply for work permit online or speak to someone at CBSA.

Good Luck

Generally work permit has nothing to do with eligibility interview. Once you past medical, they are going send u WP depending business of the officer who issues u WP.
