those who get an ITA in 6 month will be part of the 2018 immigration plan. that's another year wasted. PNP seems to be the only way. by january most pnp should be opened and some of them might offer new streams with no job offer required

Obviously PNP is another route that people can look into, but if people just want to go through Express Entry and don't want the hassle (and the expense in cases such as OINP) I think they'll be fine with 450+ in 6 months. In fact, I can see scores coming down much more quickly than that, but it will be a gradual process of scores going down month by month to a point where I think it will settle at around 400.

Based on year end report of 2015, students are definitely not the majority of candidates in the pool. We could suppose around 8000-10,000 ITA would be taken from LMIA holders, and obviously there would not be 8,000 students over 450s.

So the new marking system has to benefit some FSW under 450. After students with CRS above 450 being invited within a few months, the cut off will have to drop as time goes. I believe 430~440 is reasonable.

alex is right.

If the cutoff score will dip down to 400, IRCC wouldn't need to implement any changes at all, except for the LMIA program. I believe with at least five or ten thousands of CEC applicants now receive extra 30 points. The average score of the pool will be increased significantly.

think about it.

Of course the cut off won't drop to 400. Based on last year end report, the number of candidates between 400 and 449 was 14000. I doubt this number increases dramatically as this year has almost finish.

If you want to wait to for the score to drop go ahead. Everybody is free. That s not a pro immigration attitude. Someone who has a nomination has more opportunities to get an ita than someone who is just waiting for the score to drop. Im not saying we shouldnt have hope, im saying we should explore all possible options. Cheers
