Reference letter for OINP

Hi everyone! I received the PT notification of interest yesterday. Now I'm in process of compiling all my documents. My question is, Is it necessary that we get the reference letter on company's letter head? Because I work in a small company, and havent told anyone about this. And me applying for PR would make them think that I'm planning to leave and it is less likely that they will cooperate. All the employees in my company have the same designation on paper. Any suggestions??

Yes, reference letter with your roles and responsibilities listed out will help then determine if you are applying for the correct NOC. Try your best to get the same. If not, can you get a letter from them saying they cannot issue such letter owing to whatever reason it might be. In that case, you can have one of your superior list out your roles and responsibilities and have them notarized. If you are lucky one, you will get through with the 2nd option.

Hi! Thanks for the information! But I have my offer letter which includes my roles and responsibilities. I also have pay slips to prove that I am still working there. Wouldn't that suffice since they just want to confirm my NOC??

yes, that would very much work. Whether you call it Offer Letter or Reference Letter or employment Letter does not matter to CIC. What matters is its contents.
