I'm thinking of providing signed copies of my payslips + bank statements + work contract. That's it. I do hope this would be enough for proof of current employment as why the hell would I ask for a reference letter from a current employer? Things will get too awkward.
If your work contract clearly mentions your job responsibilities and they closely match the main duties of your chosen NOC in addition to making it clear that this is paid work, you don't even need to submit payslips or bank statements. The officer will be able to assess your work contract against your chosen NOC.

If your work contract doesn't have this information, the officer wouldn't be able to ascertain if you've chosen the NOC correctly hence they will not give you any points for this work experience. If that cause you to lose eligibility and/or reduces your CRS to below the draw cutoff, your application will be refused.

Thanks for replying Avisad. Does that mean a reference letter for my current job is not necessary in this case?

Only if you aren't claiming any points for your current job.

By work contract, do you mean the offer letter? If so, is it still mandatory to submit the offer letter with company's letter head? (because I have only one copy and I might have to ask my company for another if I have to)

I am planning to apply for Ontario PNP thing.

Thanks for your answer in advance Asivad.

I did mean the offer letter. If it is not on the letterhead, it won't appear official. You can probably include other documentation (on letterhead) which proves that you do indeed work with that organization along with the business card of your supervisor/HR.

I do have it on the letter head but I can't send it as that's the only original one I have.

CIC asks only for scanned copies so that shouldn't matter. For provincial nomination purposes, send a color photocopy explaining that you cannot send the original. Not a problem.

Hi,

Please help me on this.

One of my previous employer is not ready to give jobs duties on company letter head.

However, my supervisor is ready to sign a letter mentioning my jobs duties but it will not be on official letterhead.

He is also ready to share his employee id and visiting card scan copy to help out.

Please let me know if that is OK to claim points.

Thanks

sam1181, you do realize that official letterhead is just paper with the company logo and address on it, right?
Isn't it possible for this supervisor to write it on such a page?

I am asking that because in my company for example , blanks with company letterheads can be found on each computer and absolutely easy to access and use - and this is not forbidden!

Why not ask the HR manager to do it? They use such letterhead paper .

Hi AnnaBG ,

I asked HR too, she told she can only mention my employment period my job title on Company letter head.
And for jobs duties she will mention a line saying that jobs duties will be provided in a separate document.

This separate document will be email from your supervisor on jobs duties which can be printed on plane paper and not on company letter head.

I am thinking to take whatever she is giving on company letter head and for jobs duties I will attach a signed letter from my manager.

This is what maximum they can provide.

any suggestions on this.

Do you have your job description?
Sometimes it is added in the contract you sign when you are hired or it is provided to you later.
Your best bet is to have this stamped and signed and translate it. Then attached to the letterhead paper reference letter.

I checked hiring emails. It simply mentioned the job title.

It does not have any detail about job description.

It would have been quite useful otherwise.

But if you ask your HR? I don 't know about your country but in mine each company needs to have an archive with each job in the company including job description and national occupation code (like canadian noc but differently regulated).
So they should have it.

I dont know what else to advice you .. maybe some of the seniors can help more.

Out rightly the HR refused to mention role/duties/responsibilities in the employment letter.

However I requested my manager. He spoke to the HR Dept. and the role/duties/responsibilities was given on plain paper which I got notarized.

My manager gave his business card to attach.

I cannot really insists on my employers, which would put my 5 years current job in jeopardy.
