Ideally, if the processing time has crossed,the call center people are supposed to send a note to CIC. The automated system(while calling CIC) also says that Call center people should be able to take action if the processing time has passed.

i did but they told me the days dont matter its the date they are processing applications from so on the webpage it says February 13th. So they said call back when its gone past my day of submission ie february 24th
 
They are so not helpful, maybe try again and someone else might help

Ya I dont get it ...il call again in the morning...this is unneccesarily stressful. I wonder could my VO be on holidays or does that matter
 
not sure about that. Does any one know if they always send an email ? I haven't received any , I hope the 'Approval' on my cic is good enough
 
I applied online on Jan 16, it's been approved on April 24. Not sure why it took so long, but I'm glad it's been approved.

That is really really worrying ...that's way way past the processing times for bowp online ...did u call up about it when it was gone past its time ?

I did not. I was going to call this week if it didn't move on last Friday.

Hey Hegarty,

You need to call multiple times and ask them to take action. As soon as someone picks up the call, tell them "I have an application, can you please check the status"?
I just called up for my application and was able to get an answer.
If they refuse to take action, tell them that "as per the rules, they are supposed to take action. You cannot keep waiting for infinite time.

If they still do not help you, disconnect and try again..till you find someone who can help.

Yes I will again today but if there claiming that its the date they are processing is important rather than the number of days its hard to persuade them
 
I applied on Feb 20th around 10PM, CIC updated myCIC with a notice to request open work permit holder fee ($100) on Apr 23rd (the 62th day) , not sure why I need this as the new policy was started on Feb 21st :( Paid and submitted the receipt on 24th.

I am still waiting for result, sent 'Case specific enquiries form' on 27th, no reply so far. Anybody has the similar situation ? Any suggestions ?
