Document requirements

• For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must have been issued no more than six months before the submission of the e-APR.
• For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant lived in that country.
• Police certificates are required up front and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has lived for a total of six months or more. This instruction is for the purpose of the completeness check under section R10. However, it is always at an officer’s discretion to request a new or additional police certificate.
• Some countries require that the applicant complete a consent form to initiate a police certificate. For example, an applicant seeking a police certificate from New Zealand must download and complete the Consent to Disclosure of Information (NZ) form available on the IRCC website. The form is then uploaded (with any other police certificates the applicant may provide) as part of the e-APR. If the application is not rejected as incomplete, the processing office will assess the consent form and electronic file and initiate the police certificate.
• Police certificates need to be a scan of the original police certificate(s) in color. Certified true copies and unauthorized copies are unacceptable and will result in the application being rejected as incomplete.

In exceptional circumstances, IRCC may accept

• proof of having requested a police certificate for such countries; and
• an explanation of best efforts (not a guarantee of acceptance). The applicant should explain the delay in a document and upload the document. The uploaded document must show that the applicant requested a police certificate as soon as possible after receiving their Invitation to Apply.

Dear legalfalcon, I uploaded Indian PCC letter issued by PSK but forgot to upload PCC stamped page of passport which PSK stamps after issuing PCC. Will it result in incomplete document. Is it mandatory to upload that stamp as well or only letter will suffice? Is there any case where PR application got rejected due to this ?

Only PCC is sufficient.

I have a quick question though guys. I uploaded my PCC, which is in colour, a scanned copy of the original...no problem there. But I also uploaded the stamp of receipt of the PCC that was stamped on my passport, as proof of my PCC. However that stamp of receipt is scanned in black and white.

Should I be worried even though the actual PCC I uploaded with my application is in colour?????

I totally forgot to upload stamp page in passport which PSK doesn after issuing PCC. Only uploaded PCC letter. Will that be a problem?

AFAIK, your IELTS should be valid until you submit your e-APR. Once submitted, and your IELTS expires later, nothing to be concerned about. This is my understanding, the seniors can shed some light on this.

My suggestion would be to get a new Upfront Meds at the earliest, this way you can save time in submitting your e-APR. Please wait for seniors to get on-broad as well, they can guide you more accurately.

In India, partner hospital doesn't allow you to go for medical before 1 year of previous medical date. We tried this as we wanted delayed deadline for landing.

@legalfalcon @rajkamalmohanram Dear seniors, need advice pls. Appreciate the response. my AOR date-29July. Found few concerns after uploading:

1. In my current job letter, mobile number of the signatory is not given and only email id given as he was not willing to share his number. Now do I need to raise CSE for this and provide his mobile number to IRCC ?
2. Contact address and contact number details printed on my current employer's letter head have just got changed. We moved to a new office location. So should I tell this to IRCC as well? This new office building is a sister concern's (of our parent company) office. Hence, no one at reception has any idea about our format and people working in it so will be a problem if IRCC calls at reception and reception person may deny my presence in office ?
3. In current employer letter of my wife, as employer was not ready to give letter as per IRCC format, we attached appointment letter, salary slips and recommendation/reference letter from one of her colleague on plain paper. Now "YEAR" mentioned on appointment letter is wrong while it is correct on salary slips and reference letter given by colleague. Year mentioned in appt. letter is 2015 while correct year is 2016 and 2016 is there in salary slips and reference letter. Do we need to send CSE with revised appointment letter? Can IRCC reject our application due to misrepresentation before they receive our CSE ?

I am an Indian Citizen and currently working in Kenya. I went back to India last month for PCC and Medical.

Now i have Indian PCC dated 6th July and i have traveled back to Kenya on 25th July (My Current Job). Now do i need to apply for another PCC for INDIA considering CIC Criteria of,

• For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant lived in that country.

I have not attached my IELTS Report Card with my PR application. I only wrote the identity number and scores that they asked for. In the Documents Required list it was not asked by them to upload the scanned copy of IELTS report card.

Can they reject my application for not uploading a scanned copy of IELTS report card. Pls reply.

Hey there,

Though IELTS Score Card is not a requirement, but it is advised to upload it as some applicants have reported rejections due to this. Please upload it via CSE at the earliest to be on the safe side.

Is the completeness check completed before additional docs are requested? I have been asked for RCMP criminal record check (July 27th). What are the chances of my application being cancelled due to incompleteness now?

ADR's mostly pop up between Na2-Ip2 stage. You need not worry for cancellation, as you have been asked to upload the required document. Do the needful, and your file should move ahead normally.

Not required as long as on the letter head there is a company contact number and through that they can reach the signing individual. If they cannot, then providing a direct number or an extension or cell number is must in case IRCC would like to verify your job credentials.

Absolutely, ASAP. This will not be a ground to deny your application. However, at the earliest raise a CSE and explain this.

YEs, you need to submit a new letter as there is a clear discrepancy in your documents. However, this is not a ground for rejection, but since there is a discrepancy, it creates a red flag and IRCC will further investigate and your processing may be delayed.

Yes, you need a new PCC for India, after the date you last travelled there. You have also correctly mentioned the PCC requirement which is clear.
