Hello,

I am an SINP applicant and I used mutual funds from my account and my husband's account individually.
Has there been any rejection due to POF using spouse's mutual fund account?

Thanks in advance.
LadyJune

Post your query about on the following thread, dedicated to SINP explicitly. Hope this helps

I am wishing to apply on the basis of my part-time experience ; it is ample enough to score me good in CRS points scale ; also because of the reason that the employer of my full-time job not issuing me experience letter (sign and stamped on letter head) due to which I am not mentioning it in my application as well and not willing to claim points through it;

However my part-time employer is kind enough not only to issue me the letter, but also as per the requirement specified by CIC

Hence it is written in the CIC requirement that work-experience may be full-time as well as in part-time (in equal no. of hr per week i.e minimum30hrs/week, the requirement which I am satisfying as I worked 8 hrs a day with 4 alternate days a week); I just want an experienced opinion that am I all good to go ?

Response in this regard shall be highly appreciated :)

Got rejected.

Apparently, the POF evidence wasn't sufficiently clear to prove that my funds were net of outstanding debts and my application did not have additional document to support these letters. I did upload the LOE and I clearly remember that because that was the only thing that required explanation. Either the LOE wasn't good enough or it never transmitted in the first place. Anyways, I've created a fresh profile and entered the pool again (though Job Bank registration still says 'Pending' even though I got that EE pool acceptance mail in MyCIC, hope that is just a formality). And now that those funds have been in the bank untouched for almost 6 months, POF shouldn't be a problem the next time around. I'm also planning to send in a CSE but the rejection letter is pretty discouraging on that front - doesn't seem reopening the application is a possibility - but I'm going to try that nonetheless with strong supporting documents. Find the relevant edited portion of the rejection letter below.

Here's wishing everyone the best with their application! And hoping that I land another ITA soon. :)

PS: As I got rejected on POF grounds, that is further proof that 6/19ers got PER (Positive Eligibility Review) on their application else it would never have gotten this far.
Said to hear about your rejection bro, I hope that you get your next invitation very soon and it sails all smooth :)

I want to know, what did you submit as your proof of funds ? and what in that document specifically made them dubious that the net funds are clear from the outstanding debts ? How are you eliminating this in your next submission ?

Then why they told 90 days old pcc is not valid and why they rejected for his pcc
Comments from Bussid made me worried too as in CIC website its clearly stated that the PCC must not be more than 6 months old for the country you're living in, at the time of your application's submission ; I assume SAJ is right, bussim must have had been judged on the basis of previous rules and regulations !

Any final conclusions on this topic?
It's not exactly the category that's the problem, as people from all categories have gone through to PPR. The problem is in how the person assessing the medical information in CIC is assessing it - for permanent or temporary residence. That said, no one on this board with EDE-Family has been rejected, though it really isn't the right category to choose.

Thank you for your reply.

I remember the doctor being confused on what to choose since she was given the choice of worker, visitor and Family. She decided to go for Family to avoid confusion of me being a temporary worker.

Yes, I think that's exactly what it does, though it's very odd. EDE-Family was used in the old system for PR for spouses and dependents, while Worker was a temporary status, and apparently a very few assessors of medical exams are still assessing them that way!

Count on CIC not to have an EXPRESS ENTRY - PERMANENT RESIDENT category. I guess that would be too easy.

Hi, I received a second AOR stating that my application has passed a completeness check. Does this mean that I got the correct medical assessment done?

Passing the second AOR seems to indicate that they have found you to be eligible. Sadly, I do not think it has to do with Medical Assessments since they mention in some places that the final processing stage includes a security, medical and background check.

That's strange! Because I assumed that having the right type/category of medical assessment is an essential part of a complete application. I thought that rejection based on medical in a complete application can only happen if the results imply that the individual has a health problem.

Following up once more for those concerned/who have already been rejected for improperly "assessed" medicals. I e-mailed directly with the doctor who conducted my exam and she responded with this information:

Very sorry for this situation having arisen with your application. For Upfront Medicals, as required for Express Entry, the temporary category of "Worker" is used as there is no permanent category for upfront medicals for express entry. Then CIC and the Health Branch confirm with each other whether the medical should be assessed for temporary or permanent residency, but somehow this communication must not have happened between them, so, I have sent a request to the Health Branch to ask them to rectify this error, and to assess you both for permanent residency. I will let you know when they reply.

I hope this helps someone--I'm not sure what will happen next. My application has been updated to officially cancelled as of today.

Does anyone know if I get this issue fixed if I can apply again with the same eMedical sheet? Even though I would have technically conducted the medical "before" receiving an ITA, in this instance.
I'm back again with another update on my version of the eMedical issues. I received this e-mail from my panel physician today:

The Health Branch has responded stating "The Medical staff modified both applicants assessment to reflect a Permanent Residency application".
Hopefully this will allow you to resume your application process with CIC.

So it seems it has been fixed, hopefully? However, this does not un-cancel my application and I still must start again. I did submit a CSE the day the rejection happened, demanding (politely) that they review because I believe the application was rejected in error. We'll see if I ever get a response...

At this time I am waiting to re-apply because I had applied for a provincial nomination before receive my ITA, and I am due to get a response in a couple of weeks. So I figure, why not wait and finish that process and go through PN category rather than CEC. We'll see...

Hello,
My application was rejected last week- wrong passport uploaded and Wes ECA was not CIC compliant.
I am preparing for a new profile submission.
My question - has a request to reopen via cse worked for anyone? My lawyer is saying it is not worth to raise a cse and we will just do a new profile.! Wanted to know others opinion if cse has worked for anyone in the past?

It has worked for a very few, but one does not rule out the other. You can prepare a CSE, with letter of explanation and PDF of the correct ECA and passport, and also prepare a new profile. If one moves ahead, you withdraw the other.

That said, I believe they are more likely to reopen cases where the mistake is their own, and not the applicant's, or where there is a good explanation for what went wrong.
