Hi Vishal,

this is a worry for me then. Whats your source for this info? Would you provide the links/post regarding the same.
source is scattered across the forum and what I have learnt from seniors who are present in the forum.
Even CIC mentions, For all work experience, you need to give reference letters that should have certain information. If the letter is lacking any of the required parameter then you have to upload additional documents to prove that. If you move that experience to personal then no need to upload supporting document.
One is supposed to upload all the required information against the generated placeholders.
CIC officer has the final right to take decision on the case. There could be the following scenarios
1. He clears your application
2. He rejects your application as you couldn't prove what you mentioned
3. He asks for further document to prove your experience.

Seniors suggest that it is better to upload your best case to avoid any delays and/or rejections.

Hi All,

In our ECA reports from IQAS both of our names are printed as "SMITH, John" whereas it should have simply been "John Smith" as per our Passport where we only have a given name and the Surname field is blank. We saw this very late during submission.

The reason this happend is that the online IQAS Webform was not allowing us to proceed further without filling the "Last Name" field so we had to split our names. There were no instructions at all on the IQAS website on what to do in such case unlike the CIC website.
We have explained all of the above in the LOE and stating that we had no control on this and we didnt know how our names will appear on the ECA reports. Is this going to be a problem at all as this was a honest mistake? Please can someone advise?

Thanks a mill

If you do not have a reference letter from the employer (if the employer refuses to issue such a letter or there is some information missing from the letter), then you can submit a reference letter issued by your supervisor\seniors who work with you. Get this letter notarized. Also attach a copy of their business card\ID to prove identity. In addition to this, submit all other supporting documentation like offer letter, appointment letter, payslips, promotion letter etc.

Not all companies give letters per IRCC specification.

Also, please do not enter all your work experience in the past 10 years in the work history section. Just enter experience that you need to get the required CRS points AND be eligible under the FSW points grid. Keep the rest in the personal history section alone.

I don't think this is going to be an issue. As long as you have explained it, you are good to go!

2. No adverse effect on your app by skipping it from work history and putting it in the personal history
In my EE profile, before receiving the ITA, I had claimed points against the latest 9 years experience I have in "NOC 2171-Systems Consulting" under the work history section from May 2007 till date, In addition, I also provided the 3 years experience that I had before that in "NOC 0122 - Banking, credit and other investment managers" from May 2004 to May 2007. I received my ITA on 1st March 2017. While I have the offer letters and the resignation letter for this 3 years of bank experience from May 2004 to May 2007, I am not in a position to get the reference letter as they would not issue it in letter head. Nor can I get it notarized as I am currently in Scotland and my work experience during that time of 3 years was in India. Can I delete the NOC 122 experience now from Work History and move it to the personal history section after receiving the ITA ? I am worried doing this because one of my friend's profile became ineligible last year when he made changes in this page after he received the PT / NOI letter for OINP.

If it is an official letter on the company letter head there is no need for notarization, but if it is from a colleague (on plain paper) it must be notarized. This adds legal credibility to the letter.

All the best

What about if the company mentions everything except the job duties, I'll ask my supervisor to write it and sign it for me.

Dear Seniors,

Need a quick help. I submitted my application yesterday and got AOR.

Under Work History/Occupation: "Date XXX first became qualified to practice in this occupation". I answered to this question before ITA as 2007-November but while submitting I corrected it to 2007-June. Should I raise CSE and explain that I misunderstood pre-ITA or ?

Please help.
When asking when you become qualified to practice in this occupation? mean when you graduated or start the job ?

Hi,

It depends on your NOC. Some have a minimum qualification of a degree and other's require less or more. This is not really a big deal unless you work in an specialist occupation like Dentistry or Pharmacy which require licensing.

All the best

This will do, just get the reference notarized to add legal credibility and attach his business card.

It's the date when you legally became eligible to do the job in the country where you have the work experience from. If you could work without a degree, it's the date when you started the job.

Many times different countries have different regulations than Canada. The education part of NOC is mandatory only for Federal Skilled Trades Program, or if you did a job in Canada and it's a regulated profession.
