Hi, simulate your scores as having CLB9 in all bands L 8.5 R 8 S 7 W 7 in the official tool http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
if you got more than 400 points then study hard and do ielts again.

Otherwise, consider doing a college in Canada and trying a LMIA to increase your points

Don't pay any more money to any consultant. You can do it on your own. Just be careful not to make mistakes. I started working with my consultant early last year before express entry. In all, they wanted to collect about USD$5000. What they used to lure me was the promise of guaranteeing me a job in Canada. I had already paid them USD$1000.

However, each time I kept pressing for more info on the job, they were not forthcoming and said that they would give me more info after they had helped me put in my application. However, I would have to complete their fee of about $5000(apart from IELTS,ECA,MEDICALS,APPLICATION FEE). I realised they were bulls...tting me and had no such connections and so I discontinued with them and decided to go it on my own. Right now, anyone who wants to get you a job must also get you an LMIA in your chosen field. Bottom line, you had better go it alone and just be careful when filling the forms. That way, your costs are reduced.

The harsh truth is that you're not likely to ever get an ITA with that CRS score. But it is better to brace up to the truth so that you can plan for the future. I hear that Ontario is presently nominating people. You might wanna try that option. Good luck.

Ontario PNP requires a minimum of 400 points.

Your score is low but nothing is impossible, keep faith and try to get CBL 9 IN IELTS, the truth is no one really knows my score is 450 and I am not confident I will get ITA, its all in GODS hands.

All the best

While i agree with you that some consultants are not to be trusted and that you can go at alone, i wouldn't put off a person from using a lawyer or consultant as it may be.
Express entry is still in its testing phase and as such any slight mistake could jepordise your application. With a good lawyer or consultant chances of these happening are lessened and even if they happen the lawyer could fight your case.

You can certainly try that option. Do remember though that no one can "assure" or "guarantee" an LMIA approved job simply because there are multiple moving parts in that application and not all of them are in the applicant or even the employer's control leave alone the agent.

Before signing up with any agent, strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the LMIA process (read about it on the CIC site and threads on this forum) so that you're better prepared to negotiate with the agent about costs, timelines, processes, documentation etc.

All the best!

If anyone guarantees you a LMIA, they are lying. LMIAs are handled by the government - the best they can do (legally) is put together a correct application without mistakes.

Remember, with a LMIA, if a single qualified Canadian applies, you aren't supposed to get a LMIA. Lying can mess up your immigration for years.
