Please visit www.cic.gc.ca website to get an idea about the canadian immigration process and see if you are qualified to apply under any method (e.g. FSWP, Canadian Experience Class etc.). Good luck to you.

I opened an account in scotia bank and around 14000$ i send as wired transfer and remaining money I carried as cash. There is a limit to carry cash. I think $3000 per person. Travel cheque is bit costly because we need to pay for insurance and its around 11% of money you take as travel cheque. The benefit is, if you loose it u can claim. I found scotia bank is the best way.

They won't ask you to show your POF but still you can carry the bank statements with you just to be on the safer side

Hi dina07 its Canada and not India....crime is negligible out here and its not only safe to live alone but one of the safest countries for women so don't worry you can roam around freely even at 2 or 3 in the night !!

Yes they accept scotia bank statement....don't worry when you will have the bank statements with you they won't ask anything else
