Hello All,

I am posting my question about IRCC New Delhi office requested additional medical tests by going back to panel physicians for it.

My father had TB about10 years back, proper treatment had been taken and it was cured by the time and it never came back since subsequent X Ray after several years shows no indication of active TB

Now my father went for Medicals at Ahmedabad office after medicals were requested by IRCC New Delhi, after several days they requested to go for additional tests within 60 days.

Doctor advised that he has to go for sputum test and it takes 60 days but if we can provide any recent X rays within past 6 months then we don't have to go for as she can forward that results to IRCC and it will be fine but we have X Rays from Year 2012 and doctor said it will be OK as well because they just need to check if TB is progressive or not.

Question: Should we just send scanned copy of X ray from 2012 or its more advisable to go for Sputum test to complete process

Please advise if someone else ever had to go through this process and past X-Ray served purpose.

Your reply is greatly appreciated as we can decide it as soon as possible

Sorry for long post

In my opinion, CIC will most likely ask you to do the sputum test. I can hardly believe they would be ok with an xray from 2012.
My husband only had a scar on his lungs (never had TB) and they made him go for sputum test anyways.
I’d say just do what CIC is asking for. That’s the simplest way of knowing your application is on the right track.

Thanks for reply.
We have decided to got for Sputum test just to ensure we go in right direction as advised by Immigration to ensure right things are processed.
