Hi,

My mom received a medical surveillance request in December 2020 as part of her visitor stay extension application. Due to COVID-19 pandemic we decided to cancel her return travel plans and extended her stay here with us as she is 60+ age. On getting medical surveillance request, we visited TB clinic here in Edmonton and after doing multiple tests(x-ray, sputum test and blood) she was diagnosed with latent TB. To stay compliance we completed all the formalities and nurse told us that TB clinic will report the same.

But during the visit, doctor recommended 4 months treatment for latent TB as my mom is going to stay for 12 months. We were told that my mom will get a treatment completion letter from TB clinic.

Now we are planning to apply for mom's super visa and possibly sponsor her in future years. So my question is if my mom decides to take 4 months treatment for latent TB and gets a treatment completion letter, will it help to avoid further secondary medical check-ups or surveillance requests in her future immigration applications? or She has to report in TB clinic in future as well even after completing treatment? Did anyone face similar situation or opted to take treatment in Canada as per of medical surveillance?

Thanks.
