Dear All,

With the grace of God, We have received our passports back with Maple.

Timeline:
App Date: 05-SEP-2014
Card Charge: 05-DEC-2014
PER: 23-DEC-2014
AOR: 20-JAN-2015
RPRF & MR : 23-OCT-2015
MR Done: 17-NOV-2015
PPR: 20-NOV-2015
PP Submit: 16-DEC-2015
PP Received: 19-DEC-2015

NOC: 2281

The expiry of our VISA is April 5 2016. This was my daughter's old passport expiry. I sent the latest PP to LVO before medicals.
Do I need to raise CSE?

Regards,

Salman

First of all congratulation...for the mapleleaf in your passport.

Secondly if u are planning to go before April, no point to raise any CSE...otherwise you can raise one...if all the other passport expiry is beyond one year from now.

Dear Experts,
By the grace of Allah, I have received my MR, PCC & RPRF on 11 Dec. However, Im really confused on some issues and desperetely seeking your guidance. With MR, I have received the following additional Doc request:

1. Personal History and Addresses details from AUG2014 to present (Basically period passed after file submission)

2. Details of activities during period of unemployment from SEP2008 to JUL2009

They have sent me a Word file "Personal Address History Form" as mail attachment. The word file has tables for detailed activities and address writing portion. The name of the file matches with NO. 1 requirement, so I will do No.1 in it. Now my question is:

Ques: Should I do NO.2 also in this form? (They didnt mentioned any IMM5669E or any other format)

Ques: Since the form is in "Word" format, can I edit or modify its format? i.e. Merging a cell to write "Present/Still working" instead of month/year.

They have said in one place to use only ONE method for sending documents or processing will be delayed. In another line they have said documents other than originals unless specified should be emailed to them. That means I have to send them originals e.g. PCC, Bank draft etc through DHL and additional documents via email.

Ques: But according to them, two methods will make delay in processing. What can I do about that?

Ques: Should I also send them the additional docs hardcopy, med receipt copy with PCC and Bank draft & a cover letter via courier?

Ques: Should I also send them all scan copies via email?
:'( :'(

Im really grateful to this forum. It has helped me in each stage to my file. Good luck to you all.

It is NEVER EVER recommended to change the format of authority anywhere not only in immigration but also in professional life.

Separate forms are given for separate purpose to meet separate need and documentation. Please just follow their instruction accordingly.

PCC and Bank draft can not be sent via email. U need to send those via Currier. Rest can be (i.e. MR, filled up forms, Payment Receipt of RPRF if given by credit card etc.) sent by either email/ scanned or by hard copy via courier .

Sending same thing (i.e. personal history form filled up) in both ways (i. by email and printed hard copy via courier ) will delay the process as VO officer needs to check if both way sent same document information is actually same or not.

You can send a forwarding latter with the hard copy of courier what you have sent through online. And while sending docs through online, send it with a forwarding email what else you are sending by hard copy.

Alternatively, send everything via hard copy by courier.

I hope it helps.

Thanks

It looks that by maximum 31st of March 2016 decision would have been made for all of pending FSWP 2014 applicants (high probability).

Because in one of the recent Official CIC online webinar hosted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on December 16, 2015, a CIC Policy Analyst made some important announcements about express entry and also it gave some information about our applications (means FSWP2014 applications, i.e. Pre-Express Entry Applications).
Exact wording of the lady who gave the statement are as under:-

“The number of invitations issued per round is expected to increase as the Pre-Express Entry inventory of applications is finalized. In turn, it is expected that the minimum score of those that are invited to apply will drop . . . and we expect that in the new year when our rounds start growing — to meet our new levels plan — that the score will reduce,” she stated.

It might be good news for existing FSWP2014 applicants.

Pls advise. Is it advisable to open bank account from home country or after arrival in Canada. Scotiabank haa special facility yo open account in my home country.

Lazyboy, what you're saying is that , I should appear for the medicals and let the doctor submit my MR result to CIC ? ? ?

Yes, you can get the medicals done as you've received the MR forms.

Pre-Exp ress Entry Finalize? It will be great to see this done by the end of 1st quarter of 2016.

Hello all,

Just wanted to give back to this forum and hence I am sharing my landing exp. here

I landed at Pearson Int. airport after a long flight from home. They gave the declaration card in the plane only so I filled that up. After landing, once I reached the counter, I told them that I am landing for the first time. They saw my pp and the guy at the counter took my declaration card (asked me if I was carrying more than 10k $). After that, he put comments on the card and gave me the card back.
Next step, I was directed to another area where they took my COPR papers and my PP and the lady at the counter made me sign at a number of places in the COPR and then she told me to wait until she processed my papers. After around 10 min she called me and attached my COPR in my pp. (CIC copy she kept with her).
After that, I went to another area where I would get my SIN number.
Getting the SIN number took around 10 min as well. (I had to fill a small form before they processed this mainly name, address, etc)

After that, I proceeded to the baggage area, and took my baggage.
Before exiting, I had to go to a separate area where the guy at the counter saw my COPR, asked me if I had goods to follow to which I said NO, He then scanned all my baggage, gave me my pp and COPR back and pointed towards the exit area.

All in all, it took me about an hour for the entire procedure :)
Cheers.

Dear Friends,

With my MR request, I have been requested for an additional doc on - "What were my activities in last one year". They have given me a word file with table for it, that has columns - "From Date, To date, Activity, Name of Company"

My question is, since Im still in the same job and position, what should I write in the "To Date" column. Should I keep it blank or should I write the date of the day I submit it?? Please help. :-[ :-[
