Help needed for Post-Pre Landing to Canada

Hello,

Fyi.. I have received my passports with my visa and I am planning to land in Canada in Jan 2016.

Now, I need help from who are already landed or who has experience of post and pre-preparation of landing.

It will be great if you can try to reply my Queries below:
1) What preparation I need to do after receiving CORP and before Landing – any process or anything which I need to take care
2) What will happen when I reach to airport?
3) What should I do once I landed and come out from Airport- I do have accommodation arrangement my query is to fulfill the landing process, get PR and register for medical services
4) Can I Open Bank account before I land and transfer money to that account?
5) Which bank is best to open account with?
6) What is the best way to transfer money to Canada i.e Traveler’s Cheque, Draft or any other cheapest way for which I do not need to any taxes in Canada

HI ALL,

NEED URGENT SUPPORT FOR DOCUMENT SUBMISSION UNDER FSW..!!!

I need to show employment proof of a company where i worked 4 years ago. My manager, his manager and even his manager are no longer with the company. The HR has a policy not the share any details in a customized format. Most of my colleagues are no longer with the organisation. Also, i cannot get hold of the letter head to attest my roles and responsibilities. Only document i have is offer letter, all payslips, experience letter & relieving letter. Kindly suggest how to go forward. Will i be needing any additional document apart from an affidavit.

I have booked appointment for Medical Apollo Ahmedabad on 5th of November.
Q1. Do i have any other option to get it done earliest like within this week or so. somebody was suggesting to go to Mumbai, i lives in ahmedabad.

Q2.Where do i have to pay RPRF fees?

Q3. From where should i ask for Police certificate? somebody is suggesting to take from Local Police station and somebody suggesting to take it from Passport Seva Kendra. I did registration on PSK but it is stating that you can book appointment after 23rd october and additionally appointment date is available after 29th October. So, should i wait for appointment or should i take it from local police station.

Q4. what kind of document do i have to submit and what they will give me in return either PSK or Local Police Station for PCC?

Can anybody suggest me? Please

A1 - Call up the respective hospital in your city and book an appointment.

A2 - RPRF fees is paid after the submission of the documents.

A3 - Go through PSK, which is more streamlined. Ensure you book an appointment online and make sure details mentioned match the details on your passport. PCC is as per your passport. Also opt for SMS service which will cost you 35 rupees additonal.

A4 - List of documents will be mentioned at the time of online apointment. Whcih will include, Photo ID proof, such as adhar card, copy of passport and details of placed you have stayed over 1 year.

What request you received from your visa office to submit?

The airlines put restriction on travel during pregnancy. Please check with airline. I think travel is not allowed beyond six months pregnancy.
Further , in many provinces the health facility is not available on arrival. For example ,one has to wait for 3 months before being registered in Ontario.Please check on health facility of province where you want to live.
The sponsoring time for a new born shall be long and on landing the baby will get PR but in case of delivery in Canada ,the baby will be Canadian citizen by birth.

I think airlines are fine till 36 weeks as long as there is no complication and they may ask for "safe to fly " certificate from doctor.

I am in Australia on PR visa and working here. Hence i'd like my kid to be born in Aus, so that he/she is Aus citizen by birth. Not sure if this will be a problem at later stage to get the Canada PR/Citizenship for new born.

is there any Canadian government/Immigration policy for pregnant women entering to Canada?

Besides Apollo There is now Recently Added Savior Hospital, I too had booked an appointment at Apollo Ahmedabad. THey have long Waiting Time, anyways I booked in Apollo, but later on I called Savior Hospital and i Got an Earlier Date. So I got my Medicals done at Savior then cancelled the Appointment at Apollo. At Savior Hospital, I had 12:30 Appointment, all Formalities were completed by 4 Pm in evening. Rs. 4100/- Per Person the charges are. You have to Bring 4 Copies of Passport, 4 Recent Photographs, and your Original Passport alongwith any other photo Identity Document in case they ask.
Hope this information helps.

For PCC, its different for different people. If you have lived in several places then PCC from Passport office will be easy, but booking appointment is little difficult. In My case I had lived in 3 different states so PCC from Passport office was the more easier option for me.

PVC (Police Verification Certificate) From local police station is also acceptable. But you will have to approach them. This process gets done in 3-4 Days, I Got my Wifes PVC done since she has resided in the same place since birth.

Regarding RPRF fees, i Paid online using Credit card. You can pay via Demand Draft but this payment has to be done in form of Indian Rupees (INR) only payable to "High Commission of Canada in India". Visit the following Link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp?

We received your application for permanent residence on October 27, 2014.
We started processing your application on January 14, 2015.

I haven't received my medical yet and I am wondering this delay is normal or something fishy in there.

Please note that PCC from PSK is now no longer valid for states other than Delhi as per below link.

So please get the PCC from district police station.

Regarding medical, if u can manage to go Mumbai, Lilavati hospital is best option for u. They are e-medical enabled and have smooth process. And they upload the result in e-medical system in 3-4 working days too. U need to bring passport and e-medical forms received on mail only.

RPRF u can pay online by credit card or by demand draft as suggested by other members.
