Hello House,
I received a mail from cic on the 16th of June to go for medical, and also send pof, make payment for right of residence fee, and also send pcc within 30 days. I did all what is expected of me. However I was sent another mail on the 15th of JULY as soon as my document got to VO that I should resend updated pof within another 30 days. I have since resent the updated pof and it was received on the 10th of August. I checked my ECAS a week after the new updated pof was received, and I saw this on my timeline

We received your application for permanent residence on August 12, 2014.
We started processing your application on November 27, 2014.
Medical results have been received.

I would like to find out is this in line with my application? I am worried because I received per on 2nd of December, 2014. I want to know why my new SLU comes with a date that even precede PER date ? Can anyone explain this to me, what am I to expect next and what stage am I presently ?. Thanks House

Nothing to worry, its NORMAL, as normal as sunrise and sunset, u can expect your VO to ask u to submit ur passport via email- thats the next step and final stage when they stamp ur Visa! I hope u updated the spreadsheet and do let us know which VO is processing ur application.

Can anyone let me know am I supposed to receive AOR email or its just status update on ECAS I am worried if its supposed to be email than i haven't received that at all that makes me think I might have lost some other important email as well like PCC request or any other correspondence?

Hello Seniors,

Since May, I have been sitting on Decision Made and 4th line update from CIC. I have sent out email to CIC, raised CSE, and used all other means of communication. I was able to connect with a CIC representative last week and they did confirm that PPR hasn't been sent yet. My application was filed in Ottawa VO and I am currently in USA. I have Couple of quick questions.

1. For all those who have already received theirs passports stamped with Visas and were not in the same country as their VO when they had received PPR, did you send your passports outside to VO via FedEx, etc.? What I can gather from previous conversations is that it is illegal to send your passport outside the country of your residence. How did you handle this situation?

2. I ask all of this because now I am planning to move back to India (probably early October). My question is how will I go about submitting the passport once I move back to India? Will I still have to submit the same to Ottawa office or can I request and make the submission at NDVO as well? Seems like it would be illegal to send my passport outside of India and none of the courier service provide any services. Would the ND VO accept the request or will I have to contact Ottawa office first to get change the location of submission? I am hoping there is an easier way to handle this problem.

Please advise.

check your eCAS how many line update do you have?

Just finished my landing and returned after taking care of a few things. I was carrying the PR Card Application documents with me but to my surprise, the visa officer returned the documents to me and stated that she has made the application for PR Cards on my behalf. I was happy at the time, but now I am worried if the PR Card application can be initiated by the immigration officer like this. Has anyone else who has landed recently at Toronto gone through the same experience. Is there a way to find out if the PR Card application has been made and is in process?

Please let me know....

I have 4 lines.

This is what I see on ECAS.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 28, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 7, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on January 31, 2015.
4. We transferred your application to the Colombo office on February 17, 2015. The Colombo office may contact you.

Hi Friends,

Does anyone know why these silence from all the VOs these days? Hope everything is going on well.

Please lets share.

Hi all,

I gleaned a great deal of useful and reassuring information from this group. Thanks to all.

Our application was received December 1, 2014. We got COPR in mid-July (I'm embarrassed to say I have forgotten the actual date), and landed by rental car (to avoid being forced to import own vehicle; not ready to do that yet) a couple days ago, on Thursday, August 27th 2015, at Douglas POE at about 4PM. Had to wait about 15 minutes in the car until we got to the actual crossing, then CBSA officer directed us to a parking spot. Parked, went into building, had to stand in line about 15 minutes. My 4-year-old melted down; wife took him outside. Then we were called to the counter. Signed docs, gave address of friend in BC for PR card. The immigration officer was friendly and very pleased with my list of goods to follow, which did have serial numbers and was on the official forms -- said it was more organized than most. Then had to wait another 20 minutes while he did something mysterious in the office. Then he called me back up and went over rules governing PR status and recommended that when I returned with my goods to follow (which I will do in about a year) that I cross at Douglas POE again because they had my physical list of goods to follow; otherwise few hours delay would result if I crossed elsewhere. Recommended I never lose my COPR, even after PR card obtained. Went back in the office for another 5 minutes, then returned and gave me, my wife, and my son tiny Canadian flags and said "Welcome to Canada." Total time an hour or less.

I had to acquire 6 different letters of reference (NOC 2172) from old employers -- very difficult to do; most corporations are too afraid of liability to do anything they are not actually compelled to do. Took much perseverance. High blood pressure did not cause me to fail medical.

Spreadsheet times were pretty accurate. 7.5 months from start to finish.

I love my tiny Canadian flag.

Thanks for sharing such important information.
I am feeling relieved that the high blood pressure did not cause any problem to you. Recently, I completed medical test and my blood pressure was little high. Now waiting to see "you medical has been received" in my ECAS. thank again for your information.

Does anybody know if we are asked for proof of funds when we land with our CoPR?

I don't believe we do get asked but I've been told that we do?

Can anybody share their experience.

Thanks in advance

Dear member need your advise, is there any reported case from few 2014 of medical get expired without getting ppr? You can see my time line on the left its 5 months and a half since I did my medicals and still didn't get ppr

its been more than 8 month of 2nd line update and around 20 days of telephonic verification. But no MR yet. So how much time do they take to send any notification after telephone verification? Anyone has idea?
