I would like to know After we the visa stamped, how long do we have to land in Canada?
if u have been given the visa already, the principal applicant should land before the expiration of the visa. In the letter sent to u thru email requesting passport i guess it was stated there the validity of the visa. If u fail to land before the expiry of the visa ur visa will be invalidated or cancelled. And u will lose ur status. Hipe this helps

After u get visa stamped you have up a 1 year from the date of your medicals done or the expiry of your passport.

So if your passport is expiring b4 1 year u will have to travel before it expires, but if not then you have 1 year from date u did ur medicals as medicals are valid only for 1 year.

Hope this explains it.

Guys please help!

Today my ecas status was updated to DECISION MADE.

But i had 6 lines updated.. The last line was we sent you correspondence on july 24th, please send documents if u havent.

What u need to do is to check that u have sent all the documents that was requested of u.

If u are sure that all has been sent, Just relax and wait for PPR.

DM is positive...

Today I saw my application status changed to "Decision Made". However my question is how long it usually takes to determine the status (whatever it may be). Or how long it takes fourth line to update since its still having TLU only & also timeline for the PPR (in case the result is approved) to arrive? Can anyone throw some light on this?

Rgds

Have you received your visa?its either before your visa expires, or before the anniverssary of your medical or before your passport(or any member of your family) expires

Hello friends

My wife was operated for Fibroid Uterus after MR,as it was advised by Gynecologist of one of the reputed hospital.
A surgery was only performed to avoid further complications and long waiting for surgical procedures in Canada.
Though,my wife was not having any symptoms/problems.
I already got DM/PPR and submitted my passports.
Please expertise your views:
Is it necessary to inform vo?
If informed,what negative results?
Is it necessary to inform on arrival?
Otherwise she is recovered and doing her routine work.

First of all, what were the 6 lines? and is one of them " we have received your medicals" if so, then no need to worry, but if the last line wasn't that means that for some reason they didnt recieve your medicals on time

usually DM could be positive unless they sent u something that states reasons on denying u of a visa. Or if there are issues regarding MR, then they shud hv informd u first hand of the steps u shud take to address issues with medicals or if med inadmissibility is the concern then they shud write u first with their take on ur health status. If none of these wer experienced i gues the DM U receivd is a positive one. Just pray and ull reciv a PPR very soon ! The trend of cic regrding updates are unpredictable nowadays so wat we cud do is think positive and have faith! Pray...

Not sure if anyone replied. I presume expired one need not be submitted..

Hi krishnwinnie,

I have submitted both expired and new one. They pasted VISA on new PP and stapled both PPs.

Hello House,
I received a mail from cic on the 16th of June to go for medical, and also send pof, make payment for right of residence fee, and also send pcc within 30 days. I did all what is expected of me. However I was sent another mail on the 15th of JULY as soon as my document got to VO that I should resend updated pof within another 30 days. I have since resent the updated pof and it was received on the 10th of August. I checked my ECAS a week after the new updated pof was received, and I saw this on my timeline

We received your application for permanent residence on August 12, 2014.
We started processing your application on November 27, 2014.
Medical results have been received.

I would like to find out is this in line with my application? I am worried because I received per on 2nd of December, 2014. I want to know why my new SLU comes with a date that even precede PER date ? Can anyone explain this to me, what am I to expect next and what stage am I presently ?. Thanks House
