Hi friends,
After waiting for more than 6 months, 2 weeks before I did upfront medical. 2 days later I got a mail from NDVO saying that "Though we have associated the medical examination results to your application, this does NOT imply that your application will be given any priority processing. Kindly DO NOT get the medicals done or pay any fees until or unless you are specifically instructed to do so by this office". Again 2 days later my 3rd line got updated as "Medicals received". Has any one from NDVO face the same situation?
I thought of sending the upfront RPRF and latest PCC. But after getting this mail, I don't know how to proceed. Now its more than 1 week after TLU and I didn't get the RPRF request. Normally how long it takes to send the RPRF after 3rd line?

Exactly. do not pay any fees unless u r specifically asked to do so. Wait for their instructions.

Hi All
A question to all, if someone can guide on this. We normally get 30 days deadline after PPR, our 3rd line has already been updated. Now the problem is that we will be traveling from last week of August 2015 till end of Sep 2015 and I foresee that PPR may come by early August 2015 and that would be difficult for us to submit our passports because of the round trip time. Shall we inform the VO about our traveling so they can delay the PPR request?.

Anybody had such experience?

Regards
Ali

Please get in touch with VO once you have received PPR. They will either stamp your passport on priority or give you an extension.

i dont think asking the vo to postpone your ppr is a smart move-which could result in delaying your process for god knows how many months. i suggest you continue with your travel arrangements and if you receive ppr mail, cancel the trip, return home and submit your passports.

since they give 30 days deadline for submission, you can submit the passport to vfs office latest by 28th day, it will still get you passports stamped.

Guyz i am nov applicant from lvo submitted my passport to abudhabi today and forgot to write my name or application number on the back of pictures. I am single applicant, will that be a problem?

The picture with information is pasted on COPR document.

My recommendation, send the pictures with information ASAP by courier.

Also following information need to come on back of the picture,

Out of 2 photos one photo must:
Bear the name and complete address of the photo studio and the date the photo was taken must be included on the back of one photo. The photographer may use a stamp or hand-write this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

Congrats nd +1...wish you speedy mr
congratulations. I also want to inform that my eCAS got updated for third line yesterday(4th July, 2015). It says "medical results have been received." Medical result was submitted by medical officer since 27th May, 2015. Thank God for this. Hopefully, decision is quickly made and passports are requested for my family and I. I thank God for the success so farrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Is there any limit on jewellery value that we can bring to canada at the time of landing??
I got evaluation done for 9L INR. Can I bring that??
I have already taken the photographs.

The following questions are for people who have already landed,

1. List of things that were carried to Canada from Home Country and regretted because they were either useless, much cheaper there or were expensive to carry.

2. List of things that were not carried from Home Country to Canada and regretted because they were not available in Canada or were way expensive.

Also please share if there is a separate forum for people who have already landed.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I received a mail from CIC for Passport Request. I am currently in USA and have questions regarding sending my passport , please let me know

1) From USA , can i send passport to Canada. Will there be any problem
2) Mail says as below. Since i am in USA, should i send my documents to below mentioned ottawa address as in STEP 3

STEP 3: SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS If you and your dependants reside in Canada
How to Send your Documents to the Case Processing Center – Ottawa (CPC-O)

Submit all documents by MAIL or COURIER in a single package. Quote your application number on your correspondence and send the package to one of the following addresses:

Canada Post – Xpresspost or regular mail:
CPC – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9

Courier:
CPC – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

For security reasons, CPC-Ottawa does not return passports by regular mail. CPC-Ottawa accepts no responsibility for any passport lost in the mail.

3) For Return envelope (below line was present in mail) is it ok using FEDEX or do i need to use Canada xpress post. Since i am in USA, i cannot get Canada Xpress post (USA) online , please let me know if anyone has used any other courier

If you have a mailing address in the United States: CPC-O returns passports in the USA by private courier or by Canada Post Xpresspost (USA). To allow you to track your passports through the mail, you must provide a PREPAID private courier envelope and include it with your passports and a copy of this letter. You may also provide a PREPAID Canada Post Xpresspost envelope (USA) or ‘Ship-in-a-click' shipping label (USA). The latter are only available at Canada Post retail outlets in Canada and are not available on line[/color]

Need your advice..

In my ECAS status house no is 11548 but actually it's 11458 means cic people made wrong entry in online system as I have seen that in PER email it was incorrect... .. I failed to note it in ECAS as well as PER mail because it is my mailing address(address of a relative in city).
Now when I realized it I sent an intimation about it in the email along with RPRF receipt and passport copies on 19june...but there is no update... Should I raise A CSE or do nothing as it is only mailing address and may be beneficial only for receiving passports after PPR and I should opt to receive them by hand if my ECAS status not updated by that time..

Should raising A CSE can delay my process or remind them about PPR.. :) ;)

raise cse and also write letter and attach as attachment to cse
