forum,...I read that we cannot work in quebec right from day 1 that we land in Canada....is this true? from CIIP I have different understanding...the logic that I am given is that it is questionable wrt our application to Canada immigration and not quebec and hence it may create problems later on in PR renewal or citizenship if we start working from day 1 in quebec....what are the views here

Also u may not be eligible to apply for some services provided by Quebec that it provides for immigrants..just search in Google to know more abt the benefits for QSW Immigrants...

U should maintain 2 yrs (out of 5 yrs) in a province outside Quebec to maintain residency obligations and extend PR safely...

If you are from India you can raise CSE to NDVO and they will respond telling you the VO handling you case

I did not give my contact number on my resume. The recruiter contacted me over mail and I started talking over VOIP.

Please has any one ever used pre-paid return UPS courier to receive his or her passport from Accra visa office back to UK?

Please i need this information for a friend that decision has been made on his application since Tuesday 23rd of June and no email of passport pick, though he put UPS pre-paid envelope inside his envelope when sending his passport.

He has been tracking the return envelope since with no record and no email of pick up from the visa office

Please if you have used pre-paid envlope before do let me know how long it take them to finally send d passport back to you after the decision made

I am not denying what you say.
However, then my question is, if thats the standard practice then when we book travel insurance online, why dont insurance companies ask for VISA related details.

I have booked insurance a number of times online through TATA AIG, Bajaj Allianz and HDFC, and the online form never asked for VISA details.
The online form just asks to fill personal details, passport number, date of travel, nominee details.

I normally fill these details and make the payment. The policy details is then downloadable on the confirmation page, and they also email it immediately.

So the doubt remains: if insurance companies do not want to give it to PR people, they sould clearly highlight it when the customer books it online.

Moreover all Insurance companies are controlled by IRDA , so if one does it, any insurance company can offer it.

If you are going to Ontario, you must take 90 days medical insurance.
