You'll need a visa to pass through the UK in transit (unless you're exempt)

You should apply for aVisitor in Transit Visaif you arrive on a flight and will pass through immigration control before you leave the UK. Transiting without a visa:- You might be eligible for the 'transit without visa concession' if:-
you arrive and depart by air,
have a confirmed onward flight that leaves on the day you arrive or before midnight on the day after you arrive,
have the right documents for your destination (eg:- a visa for that country),
One of the following must also apply:-
you're travelling to (or on part of a reasonable journey to) Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and have a valid visa for that country,
you're travelling from (or on part of a reasonable journey from) Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and have a valid visa for that country,
you're travelling from (or on part of a reasonable journey from) Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and it's less than 6 months since you last entered that country with a valid entry visa,
you have a residence permit issued by Australia or New Zealand,
you have a common format residence permit issued by an European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland,
you have a residence permit issued by Canada issued after 28 June 2002,
you have a uniform format category D visa for entry to a country in the EEA or Switzerland,
you have an Irish biometric visa and an onward flight ticket to the Republic of Ireland
you're travelling from the Republic of Ireland and it's less than 3 months since you were last given permission, on the basis of holding a valid Irish biometric visa, to land or be in Ireland,
you have a valid USA permanent residence card issued by the USA on or after 21 April 1998,
you have a valid USA I-551 Temporary Immigrant visa issued by the USA (a wet-ink stamp version will not be accepted),
you have an expired USA I-551 Permanent Residence card issued by the USA on or after 21 April 1998, with a valid I-797 letter authorising extension,
you have a valid standalone US Immigration Form 155A/155B issued by the USA (attached to a sealed brown envelope),

Transit visa isn't required for those traveling with Canadian PR. Not unless they want to enter the UK

Quick question guys. What does it mean if you receive a PPR and eCAS status changes to "Decision Made" 2 days later? Passport is yet to be sent to NDVO.

Insurance companies are not bothered about the type of VISA.
Moreover when you book online, you are not asked for VISA information at all.
They just ask for destination country, passport number.
Premium is calculated based on start and end date of your travel.

Compare TATA AID, Bajaj Allianz, HDFC Ergo etc.

I am working as a Branch Manager in a reputable Insurance Company..here we dont give travel policy to PR holders... Its given only to ppl travelling on Business , Student and Tourist Visa..Ive spoken with officials of other insurance companies tooo.. ..We may get the policy but the problem is that if we register a claim overseas later , it'll easily get rejected.

But i dont have any ideas about these TATA AID, Bajaj Allianz etc.. If they are saying that they do serve PR holders too, then go for it.....

Dosen't matter,,,,

U have got PPR already, sometimes 4rth line gets updated in E-CAS after 2-3 days.

Some people gets 4rth line updated first and gets PPR later.

It happens bro... I received PPR on 8th June and my status is still 'Medicals Received'.... NDVO always makes it interesting and give us food for thought.. But as suggested by others if we receive a PPR then it means that the VISA will be stamped.. cheerss

I got PPR on 18 June and 4th line on 19th....In Spreadsheet we can see a lot of applicants who got PPR before DM... So nothing to worry...Sent ur Passport asap.....All the best

Why is that? :..This is TRAVEL Insurance we r talking about right?...As in for any problems that occur during traveling period...Why are PR Holders excluded?

forum,...I read that we cannot work in quebec right from day 1 that we land in Canada....is this true? from CIIP I have different understanding...the logic that I am given is that it is questionable wrt our application to Canada immigration and not quebec and hence it may create problems later on in PR renewal or citizenship if we start working from day 1 in quebec....what are the views here
