do we get any changes in the updates online.....I have sent on 18th and still see the status as being processed at Canada Visa office, New Delhi....how long it might take to get back passports...

CIC has no info on this.

Kindly give me list of docs i need to submit afresh.. Because this will decide whether id marry my friend now or after landing

It will take about 10-12 working days. However, always better to call VFS after a week to check the status.

Also, VFS is bound to take an update on our PP on our behalf with the embassy, as we have been using their paid service for our PP transmission to embassy. They have a SLA contract with all the embassy i.e., to deliver the processed passports/application in pre-defined time period. This is what we are paying for to VFS.

VFS is a different entity than Embassy and has nothing to do with our process other than delivering it to either High Commission or Applicant.

If you people check the forum thoroughly, general trend is PP sent via VFS comes much early then PP send directly(couriered) by an individual.

When I called up VFS couple of days back, the lady told informed me to wait for 3-4 days more and in case its the same status then they will make a follow up on my behalf with the embassy. This is not much known by most of us.

So never be worried much if you have sent PP through VFS, its their responsibility to get it timely delivered. [/size]

I am very much worried due to my pending application.i applied on 23 June 2014,per on 21 October ,second line updated on 5 dec,visa office ndvo,noc 4011,.my telephonic inquiry was held on dec6 in my past college .then no update till date .when raised gcms,it says selection and eligibility passed from visa office.when asking about my status I got following response
You are further advised that your file has been reviewed by a visa officer and is now pending further verifications.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the verifications are completed, the next steps in this application will be determined and you will be contacted. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.
No further communication yet,very much worried .after one month of this mail when inquired again ,got same email.can any body console me

thanks stallion123...more than worrying at this point in time...I am trying to estimate the time as I am waiting to resign from my present job as I have 3 months notice and plan is to land in mid sept......

Dear stallion123,

I have difference experience from VFS staff.

I have submitted my PP at VFS on 29th May but still not received back yet.

I am following up with VFS staff since last one week about the PP status but they are saying PP's are with CHC New Delhi and in process.
They are unable to ask CHC on behalf of me but said that if I submit them a request letter then they will deliver it to CHC and shall have to wait for reply from CHC.

Can't understand what shall I do now.

The best is to check with the airlines by email by giving the flight details... Take that as a confirmation.

Congrats and thanks for update....can you please tell us how much you paid for extra bags and is it 23 KG each for extra bag also??

Finair allows one bag 23 kg as free baggage but the ticket is slightly cheaper than other airlines. The extra bags of 23 kgs are allowed @Rs 4357 approx. Infact i booked extra bags one day before departure after assessing the no of bags i shall be carrying.

since then they say it is under mis - representation verification. (got to know this via GCMS notes)

I do not understand what kind of verification is this which is taking so long.

Do you think, I should write to NDVO asking as to why are they delaying my file.?

I am almost in tears, feeling like I am lost completely.

I beg you please help me, what should I do - its been more than a year and no answer yet.

As you can clearly see that in thse notes they have mentioned that verification is going on your file for MISREPRESENTATION which is very serious issue for CIC. theres a possible ban attached to it if they get evidence of wrong evidence.
Normal verification itself is taking long looong time, so urs will take even longer.. sorry to say that.. but you will have to wait. While you wait check with your employer or the person from whom you got your reference letters, if they have received any call regarding your job verification. Think of any other points in the checklist that may have caused problems.. eg. travel history ...have you updated all the info exactly.. did you miss any of the travel details? police clearance etc.. are all of them upto date? if you think you missed any immediately update cic with a satisfactory explanation letter and reapply for gcms notes after 3 or 4 months after the due date mentioned in your gcms notes.
