Landed in Toronto with my husband on 21/6.Travelled with Finair from Delhi. Booked 4 additional bags-total 6. Carried $15000(4500 in cash and balance DD).Got phone in canada,opened bank account.Applied Sin no(counter at airport was closed when we landed).Staying with a friend.Hunting for accommodation where public transport is available nearby. yet to apply for driving licence. Shall hunt for job next week.

Kindly give me list of docs i need to submit afresh.. Because this will decide whether id marry my friend now or after landing

Hey guys...

First of all i would like to thank you all for all the information that everyone posted here..it was of great help. I have been a regular follower of the forum but i was not a member earlier. I have completed my whole process and there are some of my experiences which i would like to share with you all which would actually benefit those i believe who are still waiting for their 3rd line to get updated or waiting for their PPR.

Received application on:- 11/08/2014
Received PER:- 02/12/2014
File processing started on:- 11/02/2015
Received Medical request on:- 28/02/2015
Medicals done on:- 04/03/2015
Medicals sent on:- 15/03/2015 (as told by the medical centre)

After this i was waiting for my 3rd line to get updated, march got past, April too and then May as well. I called my consultant they said its normal because the embassy people are under pressure as they have to clear so many other applications too so its normal if they do not update the 3rd line however they suggested me to wait as they said that it takes 2-3 months to get the passport request after the medicals are done. After being patient for long i thought that there can be a possibility that they could have forgotten to process my file. SO PLEASE PAY ATTENTION NOW. On 1st JUNE 2015 i emailed them at delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca not asking them about anything but intimating them about my situation very briefly along with my name and application number and on NEXT DAY when i checked the status... MY 3RD LINE was updated. THEN on 9th JUNE 2015.. I AGAIN EMAILED THEM asking them briefly about the time it takes for the completion of the process AND on 11th JUNE 2015 i received my PPR along with DM on the status... ON 12th JUNE 2015 i submitted my passport to VFS... ON 15th JUNE 2015 it was forwarded to canada visa office in delhi and it was dispatched on 22nd JUNE 2015 and TODAY i have received the PR VISA )))

Yeah its really frustrating...I also feel the same that we all who are stuck after second line update are at a Loss, we applied early, have received eligibility too, and took all the necessary steps to ensure that we fulfil each and every conditions set forth by CIC, and what do we get??

A long waiting period with no way of knowing what these people are doing with our files...

I am very much worried due to my pending application.i applied on 23 June 2014,per on 21 October ,second line updated on 5 dec,visa office ndvo,noc 4011,.my telephonic inquiry was held on dec6 in my past college .then no update till date .when raised gcms,it says selection and eligibility passed from visa office.when asking about my status I got following response
You are further advised that your file has been reviewed by a visa officer and is now pending further verifications.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the verifications are completed, the next steps in this application will be determined and you will be contacted. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.
No further communication yet,very much worried .after one month of this mail when inquired again ,got same email.can any body console me

When did you apply for GCMS? Have you applied for GCMS after that?

What Update did you provide when you raised the First Case Specific Enquiry???
And have you Applied through an Immigration Consultant?

I am an FSW 2014 applicant and I have received the medical request yesterday. I am the main applicant and i am in United Kingdom now and my dependents (wife and child )are in India. So I would like to know is it necessary to do medical test from the same place or can we do it separately in India and UK. whether doing medical in different places can affect the processing of application?

You can do it in different places without any problem as long as it is with a doctor from cic's medical panel. Me and my husband did ours in Spain and his kids in USA, and we already got the medical received update.

If you marital status changes during the course of the selection process, from what I understand, you must update your visa office about it. Then you will be required to submit the proof of the marriage and all of the papers of the spouse, including birth certificate, academic credentials (evaluated by an org approved by CIC e.g. WES), valid IELTS band score, employment letters for the last 10 years, travel history for the last 10 years, police certificate, etc. You will also need to update the form with info about your new family. I would assume that the requirements are no difference from those for family application. Please expect that this addition will drag your processing time longer. I think unless your immigration application is approved and your spouse has a PR visa as well, you cannot bring your spouse along with you when landing in Canada. There are many people on this forum who got married after they submit their application and they should be able to share with your their experience.

If you choose to change your marital status after having your PR, the approach is to bring her to Canada under spousal sponsorship program. I have no knowledge about this. You may want to check it on CIC website.

this will not effect ur processing. u can do medics anywhere from the listed panel.

Dear Seniors,

Hope you are doing excellent!

I have received mail for my medical on 17th of June & I got medical done at Max Delhi on 23th of June. I have also paid my RPRF of 490 CAD online. Apart from medical they didn't ask for any other documents in that particular mail, because I have already sent my PCC & Copy of all pages of my passport etc.

I have some doubts about it - Whether I have to send Tracking Sheet & Receipt of RPRF to my VO (Warsaw Poland) by courier or through mail is sufficient only ?
