Hi All,

i have a question here!!

why would the Visa office do the criminal background verification after PCC, RPRF & medicals are done. Also, how do they perform these checks??

Bcoz ideally when you are providing the PCC, this should be sufficient for the VO to ensure there are no criminal cases pending against an individual. This has been one of the confusing points throughout this process on this forum..

I am very much worried due to my pending application.i applied on 23 June 2014,per on 21 October ,second line updated on 5 dec,visa office ndvo,noc 4011,.my telephonic inquiry was held on dec6 in my past college .then no update till date .when raised gcms,it says selection and eligibility passed from visa office.when asking about my status I got following response
You are further advised that your file has been reviewed by a visa officer and is now pending further verifications.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the verifications are completed, the next steps in this application will be determined and you will be contacted. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.
No further communication yet,very much worried .after one month of this mail when inquired again ,got same email.can any body console me

No reply from NDVO on the extension of PPR as my son's passport is with UK immigration for UK Visa stamping.....i requested via CSE on 12th June....
Please suggest what I can do...

Raise another CSE to NDVO..Mark 'URGENT' in the subject....Attach Documentary proof of ur son's PP submission in UK if possible...

Raise the same CSE to LVO as well since u have already got permission to submit PP in London.....Generally the other country is faster than NDVO in these cases...(remember to provide the complete context)

And also, send the same in a mail to NDVO Id marking urgent...Beyond this u can't do anything else....Just cross ur fingers...

I have 2 under construction flats, one in my and wife's name and other in my and friend's name ( i am co owner ).
i am planning to land in aug and am totally confused, I have received multiple answers to a simple question.
since the flats are under construction and possession has not been allotted the flats are not registered in my name but we have purchase parers and paid good amount of money to buy them. I would certainly want to have those funds in canada once i get the right buyer.

2nd question, My father wants to gift me a propriety in addition to what i have for declaration and subsequently moving the funds to Canada , can i declare a gift deed at the time of landing.

please revert as it is very important for me to save tax, in addition is there a time frame of 1 year to liquidate and move funds or can we bring it after an year also tax free after landing.

Interesting....can we declare any immovable property value now at the time of landing and bring the money in to Canada after few years tax free....seniors please advice...as I too have this issue.....
