Friend,
First of all, Don't consume alcohol and any other such drug or medicine ;D ;D
Second, drink water as much as you can.
Third, Don't eat heavy food and oily stuff on that day.
Last, Relax and keep calm. Give to the point answer to doctor.

Dear All,

Would like to share few points that might help others during the process. Please refer timeline on the left and below to have an idea on the process time against each step:

1. Added my new born child in the application. Sent all the required docs beforehand with DD to NDVO before MR request. Received MR request with my daughter's name added in the same.

2. Job change and shifted to another country. The same was communicated to NDVO along with supporting documents (New employment contract, updated travel history etc) along with the request of name addition of my child.

3. Submitted PCC for 4 countries including India with application. The PCC from India was issued from DM's office with validity of 6 months. However, during MR request, NDVO asked me to submit PCC for India as well as PCC of the Country that I am presently located. So total PCCs submitted was for 5 Countries.

4. MR was done outside India from the panel Physician listed on CIC website. The panel Physician does not have E-Medical facility. Also, they sent the reports to London by Courier instead of NDVO. The reports are sent to the Regional Medical Center which is London in my case as I am presently located in West Africa.

5. Along with MR documents, I requested NDVO to permit Visa stamping in the present Country. However, the PPR came with instructions to submit the passport at New Delhi visa office.

6. Submitting Passport other than selected VO:Replied to the same email (PPR request) by adding Urgent in the subject and requested again to get visa stamping in the present country's Visa Office. The email was sent on 26-May. The same email was written to the local visa office/embassy and subsequently I raised the CSE also with both the VOs. Got response from NDVO on 1-Jun-15 allowing me to submit the Passport with Instructions (which are different from the instructions of submitting passport to NDVO) to local visa office. Also, while writing this post, I have got response from local VO also to submit my passport.

I hope this will help fellow applicants.....

All the very best.....

Cheers.....

Thanks that was very helpful. +1

Hi,

Medical insurance is a must for the first 3 months..You can look at Indian/ (preferably) Canadian providers....

One member of my Whatsapp grp recommended Travelance insurance (particularly for Ontario region).....You can google it, go to the website and get a quote....Research carefully and decide.....

whatever I had said is is confirmed by Tango Charlie..
I have not done enough research on reliability as I am still waiting for my PPR..
I will still advice one to try for community health and in last resort you can always buy insurance once you are there...

Hi,

I have a Valid driving License from Mumbai, India since 2002. However this License is in the form of a booklet and not a smart card. As well the letter I am getting from the transport authority is a handwritten one, since the record is not computerized.

Is the booklet type of license from India acceptable to apply for the Ontario's DL
