Yesterday received a call from Canadian High Commission, New Delhi. The officer enquired about each aspect of my application, including my and wife's education, work, background, travel, PCC etc.. He also enquired about our kids, confimed that they are twins.
In the end he informed me that I have done a mistake while filling Background verification form. I failed to provide last 10 year information there. He informed me to fill the form afresh for both myself and wife, sign it and send it over. He gave me 7 days to complete this. Also informed me that had I not done this mistake, he would have processed my application. After the call I received an email requesting for the newly filled forms. I sent the newly filled forms yesterday itself, it would reach them tomorrow.
Because of my silly mistake, our application processing would be delayed now. I enquired when I can expect the visa, he said, he cannot comment about it. He said, "We are giving you PR visa, not any ordinary visa, hence processing will take time when additional documents are added". He also said, visa will be valid till 26th March 2016 irrespective of when visa is isssued, so asked me not to worry about when I would get visa.
I am surprised that this mistake was not noticed before medical request. Fingers crossed, one more additional wait period for us.
