Re-posting the question. I know it is quite different but could any of the senior members please reply on this? Do I have to travel to Canada before submitting the VISA/CORP again to add my baby as dependent by November/December. My Visa expires on Jan - 20 - 2015. When i submit the docs again to add a new dependent, wont i get a new Visa expiry date and hence can I travel after I get the new Visa?

Need your help. My wife and I have received our Visa valid till 20 - Jan - 2016. As I had already informed my wife is pregnant and she is due on Oct 1st week. She will not be able to travel till child birth. I was initially planning to travel on July or September for a week to get my PR card.

My question here is, I would have to submit my Visa, COPR and PR Card along with my wife's when we are applying for our baby, so when I submit that by November will I have an new date for my Visa? and can I travel after I get a renewed Visa or should I travel once before submitting the documents to add a dependent?

Hi All,

I have an urgent query.

I am planning to do a short trip to Canada in June 2015 to do my landing formalities and stay for 2 weeks.. then return back to India and resign from my job n then go back after 3months. Since I won't get my PR card within 2 weeks of my stay at Canada. How can I re-enter Canada in September 2015 without PR card. I'm getting very stressed about this doubt in my mind. Please suggest what is the best approach in this situation. Thanks a lot

There are two options for this:

1) Fill up a Travel Document form (IMM 5529) and send it to the Canadian Embassy in India, they will issue a travel document and you can then re-enter Canada. However, please note that this document is issued only ONCE for permanent residents.

2) You may ask your family/friends to courier your PR card to your address in India. However, please make sure they send via trusted courier service, even if they charge higher price.

Hi Guys,

I applied from Dubai last year (June 2014). Received my med request on 16th April. Scheduled a medical appointment for 4th May in Mumbai.

I have slightly high BP and a lot overweight (read: Obese). Worried about the meds. My BP has come down a lot though, thanks to the in-process weight reduction and I'm not taking any medicines for that. Hope to clear it all in one go!
