Received my Passport with visa and COPR yesterday.
My timeline is on the left.

First part of Journey is over of getting PR, now the really difficult part of moving to Canada and settling there starts.

And good luck to everyone, you all will get good news soon. FSWP is just a game of patience.
Congrats nd +1

Dear Friends,

Need a urgent help from my fellow folks... :-X

I have received a PCC request from NDVO office today. I have one question, it will be great if any one can help me out with it.

Q) My application was received by CIC Canada on 1stAugust2014 and i received my PCC certificate on 11thAugust2014 (for Canadian immigration) from the concerned authorities. My questions is can i submit the same certificate (as its 8 months old) to immigration office or will i have to get a new one.

regards,
singh

Hello Singh..

PCC cannot be more than 3 months old when you are sending it to CIC.. although it is valid for one year from PCC date. You will quickly have to make a fresh PCC and submit that only.. All the best.!

Police Certificates and Clearances

You are strongly encouraged to submit your police certificates with your application to the CIO. If you are unable to
obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, we
recommend that you take steps to obtain your police certificates now to avoid delays. You must be ready to submit
them when requested by an officer.
Originals
Note: Police certificates are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue; therefore depending on
the processing time of your application, you may be requested to submit new certificates.
Please consult our website at:www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/ police-cert/index.asp for specific and up-to-
date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.

Hi TANSAM,

Even my case is same as yours and my query is also same as yours. Need input from Seniors who had the same case.

Do you still keep the old passport or was it returned to authorities when you got a new passport. If you keep the old one. just show it to your visa office when requested.

If you have never submitted a police certificate originally when you first to CIC, you should get a new PCC. The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply.

Hi Auto_art.. somewhere in the application brochure or in checklist it is also mentioned that PCC should not be more than 3 months old while sending to VO or to CIC.. If somebody got through or even yours get done doesnt mean someone in future wont get stuck due to this.. As this is the rule.. More seniors can throw some light on it.. !
