Coolguy.. cool coolll.. what i told is if they can be shown then it will be fine to be shown..also really i dont have any idea whether we can produce them (FD) as POF..

so learnt one new point from u brother.. +1 to you... :) :) :)

Sorry mate if my post sounded rough. no offense. i just gave my example because i have shown FD's as POF in my application and now that FD is renewed. SO in case they cross verify too they will see the old maturity date and the new FD date and co relate. But once all is clear these FD receipts will not work in the port of entry as they are in INR. so finally to the immigration officer in Canada you have to show everything in CAD in either CASH, TC, or bank statement as mentioned by some forum members (Scotia Bank i think).

Cheers :-)

Dear Bass as far as i know in FD , if they come to Maturity than, even if we dont renew then the bank will automatically renew them for next one year. first of all i dont know whether we can show FD for POF and another thing if we can show them and if it is going to mature and renewal wont effect that as the amount still will be in his account.

any corrections if required to my statements, you r welcome to correct me. :) :) :)
Thanks askyaram

more than 40days since second line update no MR received yet, dont know why ndvo is taking so long,i see many guys received medicals in 10-20 days after second line update, what if it goes long for MR?

Dear Friends and Seniors,

I sent Nepalese PCC of myself and my wife along with my wife's PCC from another country where she studied before while filing application during Sept 2014. If WVO asks for fresh PCC of myself and my wife in MR email, then does it mean that we should get her foreign PCC too again or is it only fresh Nepalese PCC (She hasn't visited that country again after we filed the application to CIC)??

I am yet to get MR email but still want to get prepared for the above issue to resolve in time.

I dont think that the words like "Sorry", to be used here between us and our frnds..coz we are all in same direction in same ship heading to same location, so we need not use these words, but we can teach each other some new points.. coz of u've learned a new point. As a matter of fact, i too at first thought to use FD for POF, but later stage due to lack of Info.. i didnt proceed with tht.. any ways if can be used then Bass's frnd is safe and its a good news.. :) :) :)

Coolguy31,

FDs from the Bank of current country of residence are accepted in the port of entry as well. One friend in another forum have send a case specific inquiry to CIC regarding the same and CIC have replied to him, like yes he can proceed.

He is travelling end of this month, and for safer side, he will be taking that reply mail from CIC along with his FD balance sheet.

Also, there is nowhere in CIC website, where it mentions, we need to show POF in CAD.
