Thanks for the update. I am in a similar situation in UK. But awaiting PPR/DM for last 50 days. I have raised CSE on 7th-Apr informing them to send the PPR such that I can stamp visa in UK itself. But no reply till now. I will now wait for PPR and then will contact LVO directly.

Regarding your questing, if you are a Indian national, I think you don't necessarily require passport to fly within India. Any Indian id proof such as PAN / Driving license is sufficient.

Thank you for your response. Problem is I don't have any other Indian Government issued photo ID apart from the passport. Will they be OK with US Drivers License?

Immunization Certificate to Collect

Any Family bringing their young ones here in Canada make sure to get the "immunization" certificate from your family doc or from the doc where your young ones are regularly visited. They can issue a certificate or letter on their letter head, mentioning that what type of vaccination and what date given to the baby/kid.

Its good if you can get one, before arriving to Canada which is a mandatory requirement from getting an admission in schools.

Thanks. This is very important info.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!

Toronto is marked as destination on my visa. Is it mandatory for me to land in toronto?

Secondly, is it mandatory to carry CAD 11824 or more, not less, at the time of landing? Would it be fine if i carry lesser amount like CAD 5000?

Regards,
Gaurav

No to both mandatory questions

1. Anyways you will be landing on Pearson Airport if landing at Ontario so Toronto is fine,
2. No not mandatory to bring $11824, it can be lesser than that as well or as you said less than $5000

If bringing over $10000 than you need to declare at immigration check and have to fill 1 extra form, its simple but that is an extra requirement.

Hello palakpatel and gaurav jaswal,

Congrats for your achievements ....

Please revert that after how days you had received your passports after submitting the same for stamping ?

reason for asking this because I am also waiting for my passport submitted on 2nd April ...

What are the immunizations required for the children? What age should these immunizations still be required?
Are adults also required of some specific immunization?
Thank you.

IS IT FINE TO SHOW POF IN INR AT THE TIME OF LANDING

What does the letter accompanying your CoPR say? Mine clearly stated I can use bank statements without mentioning any country. It was issued from LVO.

This is only in case of kids for admission in school.
The doctor can certify on his letter head that all the stndart immunisations were given to the child.

Below are the usual ones.
1 ) BCG
2 ) DTP - 3 Primary and 2 booser doses over periodic intervals.
3 ) Oral Polio vaccination - 5 Primary and rest booster till 5 yrs of age.
4 ) MMR - 2 doses
5 ) Chicken Pox - 2 Doses
6 ) Hep B - 3 doses
7 ) Hep A - 2 doses
8 ) Typhoid Vaccine - 2 Doses.

The above are administered to kids between the age of 0-5 yrs.
The list is per India Immunization requirement but roughly this should cover it all.

Along with the CoPR you get a form which needs to be completed for kids immunisation. The form lists the ones that are expected to be done.

That's where the ambiguity lies, there is no clarity on this anywhere in black and white.

Logically, to carry POF in INR as bank statements can be debated as it not being the best way to carry settlement funds.
The obvious question the IO may have is why the reluctance in carrying CAD in Travel Cheque or CAD Card or CAD Bank statement.

Personally I wouldnt want to take the risk of that thought cropping up will carry Settlement funds in some shape already in CAD.

Lots of folks have stated that no matter if you land alone or with family , you must carry the complete funds as per your family composition. Also these funds have to be in CAD either in cash / travelers cheque / CAD DD. Also it seems you can open a bank account in Scotia Bank and deposit there. It seems upon landing you maybe asked to show the proof of having the settlement funds as per your family composition.

Hey guys,

I have been in Canada for 8 months now. I had given my Indian PCC with the application. Would I need to send my Canadian PCC as well now?
