Dear friends,

How long should your passport be valid before you first arrival (landing) ?

Many countries has specific regulations concerning this matter, differing in minimum validity of the passport (some 3 months, some 6 months,ect.). But what is Canada law for immigrants passport validity at the time of landing? (regardless of your visa expiry date)

Any DM updates or PPR today from NDVO ??

Its always better to send it through VFS as they are authorized and have expertise in handling passports

Each Permanent Resident Visa is valid for 1 year from the date of the Medical exam or until the expiration of the passport

Dear All,

Please advice how to RPRF online?

Guys, need your help and insights regarding my situation. I have applied for PR (October applicant) and have received PER. In my initial submission of my application, I did not include my common law partner primarily because she is still technically married although we've been living together for more than 8 years now. There has been a case filed for annulment in 2008 unfortunately, it wasn't approved. I notified the Canadian Embassy that I want to include my common law partner in the application including the details and today, I have received request for additional documents. My only concern right now is this item:

Client Information: Provide court documents regarding your partner's previous marriage

I have the court documents regarding the case. Do you guys think this will suffice?

I don't think it will suffice. You will have to prove that the earlier marriage is no longer valid - meaning either annulled or divorced. Any other proof that can show you both are partners by law may also suffice.

I'm well aware of that, I meant only the minimum validity of the passport at the time of landing. Not the visa.

Any clue on that ? or reference ?

Thank you Ananjay, My Marriage is on 29th of April,

Reason for asking whether I need to inform CIC about my marriage right away or after the marriage is that I see a note in one of the email as “If you have, or anticipate having, a change in family composition (for example, marriage, divorce or expecting a child) you need to advise the visa office as soon as possible of this change.”

Thank for giving me the list of docs that are required....

I am submitting a PCC which I received from Hyderabad PSK, however I lived in Bangalore for about 2 years, please let me know whether I need to submit a PCC from Bangalore as well?

I recommend inform the VO about this. Only 1 PCC is sufficient for a country. So you don't need from Bangalore
