Dear Seniors........Need Urgent Advise......

The request for MR that I have received is asking for the PCC for me and my spouse from Senegal (as I am presently residing in Senegal) and PCC from India. However, the PCC from India for myself n spouse was submitted with my initial application.

Now, I am presently residing in Senegal and they want Indian PCC issued by SSP/SP/Commissioner of Police/ACP/The station House Office or Regional Passport Office.

Since I am in Senegal, I cannot get this PCC from any of these offices except Indian Embassy in Senegal....Will that be acceptable by NDVO?Huh

Should I reply to the same mail asking for clarification?Huh

Please advise if anyone has faced the similar situation....

PCC issued by Indian embassy is allowed. Pls see the following extract from CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp

Local Requests
For districts other than the Punjab:
Applicants should contact the local Senior Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of Police, the Additional Commissioner of Police, or the Station House Officer (Police clearance certificate issued by the Regional Passport Office are also acceptable.

For residents of the Punjab:
Only the Senior Superintendent of Police or the Regional Passport Office may sign a Police Clearance Certificate.

Non-Resident Requests
Applicants should contact the Indian embassy or consulate..

By God's grace i have got my passport back with the visa stamp. Thanks to each one of you for the relentless help that was provided.All the best to all waiting for PER/MR/PPR/visa stamp.

I am planning to land in toronto in the 3rd week of june. Looking forward to the new phase in life.

I have updated my timelines, and will be updating the spreadsheet soon.

Hi Mates,

I have received PER a month back and wanted to know if,

I can update the passport details when I receive MR? I need to get it reissued in order to get PCC of India from Indian embassy, UAE.

on receiving MR & PCC, maximum how many days one will get to submit PCC. (I mean including the extension they grant on our request), I will be able to complete medical and submit one PCC in less than a month but i may take some more time for the other PCC.
