The Journey which started for me on Mar 5,2014 with registering for ECA evaluation had completed its 1st phase today.

Received passports with VISA stamping with COPR's for entire family today from VFS Chandigarh.

Now starts phase 2 of the journey ahead and before starting that want to thank each member of this forum who in one way or other was inspiration to continue without lethargy and motivating as well in times of anxiety.

Thanks you everyone for being part of this journey and all the best for the people who are waiting for completing their 1st phase of this journey.

Planning to move to Toronto in second week of June,2015 and hoping to meet some of the friend there as well.

Hi All,

I got information that there are no implications in getting PR and then coming back to USA for some months? But still have following 2 questions.

- is there any timeframe to go back to Canada after getting PR?
- any idea on number of days it takes to get PR card?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
raij1

there isn't a time frame that I'm aware but you have to be preset in Canada for at least 2 years within 5 years of landing in order to renew your PR. If ther's a gap between your landing and returning back to Canada Immigration Officers may ask question , however there wont be any issues

for PR card processing time go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp

Hello All,

Need some assistance. I am planning to complete my landing in July. I plan to complete the formalities at Toronto. Would it be possible to catch a flight which halts at Montreal and then to Toronto. There will be a plane change at Montreal. Will the FSW visa cause any issues at Montreal if we have to pass through border control

Inputs appreciated

Regards,
MI

you have to complete your landing at your first Port of entry thats Montreal in your case ,i'm not sure if you can do this, read many contradictory views about FSW folks landing in Toronto

Hi forum members,
Just wish to share the info regarding change in family status once visa is issued and before Landing.

While we were in due of 2 months on childbirth we got our visa stamped. So we mailed NDVO regarding suggestion. Since it took many days to get reply we landed and got our PR status since to avoid any risk. Now after 25 days we received mail stating if there is any change in family like married or newborn after visa is issued you got to submit ur COPR and visa along with the new family members docs so that we will re issue visa. For reissue we need to pay cad$30.

Since we have landed before change in family and gonna see our delivery here we don't have to submit copr and visa to NDVO. Am sharing this information so that few people who may be in our stage get to know visa reissue policy in family change after visa issued.

Hi seniors

Can anyone plz explain elaborately what type of check remains after receiving 3rd line up in ECAS. "we have received your medical result". and who many days required to receive PPR request? Plz...........Plz....................

Hello Seniors

One question

I need to send passport to CPC-Ottawa. And i can either send it via Canada post or Fed ex. The only thing is while sending via fedex I am not sending Xpresspost self-addressed envelopes

CIC mentions in case we don't add self-addressed envelopes then they will send our passports back by Canada post Letter mail. How safe and quick is that? Anyone any idea..I stay in toronto. Ottawa is very close to me

Just landed and now a Permanent Resident of Canada..! All process went smooth and easy..even the US Idaho border officers were pretty cool..I hope you all success in whatever endeavor you choose in Canada..Thanks and Godbless you all :D :-*

My second line was updated on March 4... But still no MR. and my linkedin account was verified by a CIC official.... What could be the possible reason for delay...
