Hey all, a question. Don't know if it's been discussed before or not. Regarding the background check, how far back does the VO check your employment history? Reason for asking is, my first experience (from 2001-2005) was in a company that has been shut down for long. I have submitted the relevant JD letter (an old one, dated 2010) with the application. This job has nothing to do with my primary NOC, I have around 9 years of experience in the NOC I've claimed points for, and in any case, only about one year of this experience falls under the 10 year employment history that CIC asks for. So, the question is, does the VO check all ten years of the history? And if they do, and are not able to verify employment history as the company is no longer functioning, how does that impact the processing?
Thanks

Yes, I went to Singapore for a month in July-August 2014. I had submitted my application in May 2014.

Yes, NDVO has many passports for stamping (hence they are probably planning to complete stamping on these before sending new passport requests). So many candidates are waiting to get passports after stamping

Thankyou much appreciate rvp_deltario, Diplomatru and Canol for your valuable and prompt replies.
However I would want to wait for PCC from PSK. When submitted the application for PCC with PSK I chose 9th April coz dat was the earliest available. I dinr take a print out of the receipt as I thought of doing it Later. Today when I logged in to my account I saw there was nothing against date and time of appointment. Now the earliest date available is 30th April whereas the deadline given to me by ndvo is 13th April. Please suggest I'm so stuck up with this mess. Don't understand when I confirmed 9th April why would PSK change it if at all they have.

There is a solution to your problem my friend.
Just fill and submit your online application forms. Your are not supposed to make a payment. Just take a printout of your submitted application forms and make a walk-in into PSK any day between 9am to 11am.
If your passport is less than one year old and bears an updated address then you will get your PCC within an hour otherwise you will get it within 7 days after police verification.
This is my experience with Chandigarh PSK.

Hey any news on PPR?

nothing from Paris, any chance someone got PPR from NDVO ?

1. Cover letter
2. Medical Bill payment Receipt(If available)
3. Copy of Passport Bio pages
4. Document Request letter from Visa office
5. RPRF fee payment receipt (filled with black pen) or DD of RPRF payment

Should all the above documents to be sent as a hard copy to NDVO? or as I am in Riyadh, Can I scan these documents and send it via the link "Case Specific Enquiry" or email them to the same email from which I got the Medical and RPRF request. Please advise.

Also one more query... I am planning to do medicals along with my family on 1st April. Please let me know is there medicals for my daughter also who is just 4 years old? If so what tests for her?

THE PREGNANT DEER - such a beautiful story !

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.
She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place.
Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labour!

What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunters' arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.

What does she do?
She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:

- Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
- It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.

Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.

Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.

The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on creator always. He will never ever dissapoint you. NEVER.

Remember, He neither slumbers nor sleeps...
One of the best I hav read....

SO NEVER LOSE YOUR HOPE... EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR THE GOOD.
