Hello
Which is good hospital in Delhi for medical. Any suggestions pls

the 1st time we land is to get the PR card for both of us
3 weeks would mean a vacation at my current job and more than that would mean quitting .... but if its going to take 45 days then we might have to rethink things ..my husband has a business in india and will take him way longer than 6 months to sort things out .. so the 2nd time round I will probably go and he join later ..

Hi,
While CIC states PR card processing time as around 22 days. I think it takes 40-45 days for the end to end process. (Goku last updated his PR card in 43 days.
Sin you will get immediately from Services Canada at the Airport when you land. Assuming you are landing at Lester Pearson. Else if a counter is not preset you can always walk in to the nearest Services Canada centre and get a SIN.
For Toronto, there is a 90 day wait before you become eligible for state health coverage. Before that you need to have an active private insurance to give cover for medical exigencies.

Drivers Licence, in Toronto you need to apply within 60 days to take advantage of you local DL and get a G2 licence.

3 weeks may not be ideal time. I suggest 6-8 weeks at least to get all paperwork sorted.

Question, why travel now and again after 6 month's. You initial visa will have a validity for a year from meds received. Why not take the one travel post you are sorted in India?

Yes for meds it's the same specification. 35mmx45mm with 80 cover in face.
For the DD, does you RPRF mail not provide you the details of the official links to refer to?
The link given there created confusion to me specially on DD part. Can I just write 'Receiver General for Canada' or also need to write 'payable at new delhi' together?

You will have to get it payable at "New Delhi"
Wouldn't it be easier if you just paid the RPRF online though.

Hello friends,

finally i received MR for my Pr app on 25th march, seven months after per email...

just wanted your view on the situation.

as you know till few days back Mr was not in sight, I decided to apply for a student permit(i got admission to york university mba program in january 2015).

i applied for student permit on 17th march, and they sent me medical request for student permit on 18th march, and i did the medicals on the 19th march. while submitting the app at VAC, they asked my passports as well.

now on 25th march, i got MR for my PR app which i filed on 7th may 2014. when i went to the hospital, they said you need not worry to do the medicals again, and send the new IME form with the medical completion receipt we gave you via courier along with other docs to the embassy.

i did the same and sent all docs via courier yesterday with a very elaborate letter, telling the embassy that im attaching all the proofs of completed medicals for Canada, and you are requested to attach those to my PR app.

hope i did the right thing..i have time till 25th april to submit all docs..

please guide, if i shall approach any other hospital to do medicals, or the embassy will accept my medical i did for study permit for pr application....

thanks...

After a journey of 280 days did i got hold of my passport with beautiful visa stamped. Support from this forum is really great and I would like to thank all members for the help and contributions. Now the new journey lies ahead with so many uncertainties but expecting best in days to come.

My stats are as below :

1) File received by CIC - 20 June 2014
2) PER - 20 Oct 2014
3) MR - 11 Dec 2014
4) MR done - 01 Jan 2015
5) PPR - 28 Feb 2015
6) PP received back - 26 March 2015

Admin pls do the needful of having the ss updated as i could not do it even though i tried.

My Experiences :

- Go through the informations provided by CIC and it is more than what a "Consultant" could provide. You will eventually get hold of
updated documents and save huge buck.
- Do not spend time waiting, just act on it.
- Prepare all supporting documents before hand but check check and check before sending final documents.
- Send only those documents requested and instructed by CIC and dont send originals until and unless asked.
- Documents required keeps changing, so keep track on it.
- Have patient and getting impatient will not improve situation.

Hope all gets pass through.

Not trying to be rude here but dude ....you would have to

1) learn a lot of new stuff
2) be open to learn and adapt

when you go to a new country for good. It is in your best interests to start early.

Guys,
I am seeking information about photo specification required for ME. Is this the same photo that was sent with initial application?
I am from Nepal and I am opting DD for RPRF.So, On behalf of whom DD should be prepared and what currency do they entertain?

Subash,

You can address the DD to The Receiver General for Canada. The currency can be Indian rupees. Generally the draft is valid all over India and unless specifically mentioned not to pay at Delhi, not mentioning "Payable at Delhi" will not do any bad. The bank from where you make the DD can clarify you on this. In kathmandu, Standard Chartered, Nepal Investment bank and few other commercial bank also do the DD works.

It takes anything between 4- 8 working days. Its working days but not regular days. Add some more days for PP travel time from CHC to VFS.

Hello Fellow forumers

I have got a doubt regarding submission of Medicals and RPRF fees and also the PCC. I received mail from CIC to submit all these documents within 30 days.
Now that i am getting closer to the deadline, I was actually wondering how to submit these documents - By Courier or By walking in. The statement in the mail is

"Submit a copy of the payment receipt with the above requests to this office in one envelope."

Address :
Street Address | Adresse de rue: One George Street, #11-01, Singapore 049145 -> Courier address?
Mailing Address | Adresse d’expédition : P.O. Box 845, Robinson Road, Singapore 901645 -> Postal address?

The CIC office is just right across my working place, so I was wondering, can I go in person and submit or need to send a courier? Anyone in the forum who has walked in to submit?

Kindly share if anyone has done the same?
Thanks.
