we are a family of 4. we need around 22000$ as POF. Is it possible to deposit this entire amount in Scotiabank branch New Delhi and show it as POF?
Do I need to carry extra money( above POF) at the time of landing in Canada?

So, I will be going to Canada for the first time on Saturday the 4th. This trip is for only 1 week and then I have to return to Australia (need to continue selling house and wife finish her master).

As far as I know...

I can provide a Canadian address for the delivery of the Permanent Resident card. I guess I should be straight forward about my intention to leave 1 week later, right? I had a look around and this seems a very valid approach.
I should bring a list of items that I will be taking with me at a later date. Is there a form for this? Or is it just a plain paper list?
I need to bring proof of funds as well.

Is there anything else I should consider? Please advise!

No, personally handing over docs is not allowed. You will have to courier them over to NDVO.

I paid RRPF online last night. Received a receipt.

My question is :

Can I submit RPRF receipt and MR (Max Med Centre, Panchsheel) Receipt directly (handover personally) at Canadian Embassy?

I live in New Delhi. The embassy is near to my place.

Please advice if I need to send the above docs by courier only.

I have a query, would be greatful if someone please guide.

I have got mail for my medicals and PCC and need to submit by April 30.

Now, my son's passport expires in May 2016. So do I need to get it renewed before I send the same for stamping ?? (assuming and praying that they would call for our passports say by May 2015 if everything goes on well).

I don't think you need to worry about your Son's passport renewal for CIC. It has enough validity.
When they send PPR, they will ask for passports with a minimum validity of 6 months.

anawaraj, for some reason not able to quote your posts but here are the responses.

1) In the past some formats have advised against it. Why can you do your landing in Alberta and then travel to Van or TO.
2) For a family of 3, carry CAD19000 in settlement funds.
3) June/July is indeed the best time to travel due to the mild weather. It would be more helpful if you were to do bridging sources from Canada and not here.
4) Meds will not be done again.
5) Kinds immunisation records are asked for while getting admission in schools etc. Not needed for adults.
6) Carry the good along and goods to follow list. Declare additional money that will follow for e.g. Indian PF withdrawals etc.

am going to have 2 accounts. As new immigrant account also offers additional benefits like locker facility, I will target to have 2 accounts and 2 lockers.
