Hello -
I hope this finds u all well. This is in regards to the mail that I received from CIC Delhi yesterday for reassessment of my medical in lieu of my permanent immigration application under FSWP 2014 in which my wife is a primary applicant and I and our daughter are dependents on her. Please note that I am in Vancouver, Canada since August 2014 on a student visa whereas my wife and daughter are still in India. All 3 of us have received Confirmation of PR (COPR) which mentions that our immigration visa expires on 22nd April 2015. This is due to the fact that my medicals are supposed to expire on that same day. As per my understanding, we are supposed to land in Canada before this date to get ourselves a valid PR. My wife and the baby are supposed to arrive here in Vancouver on 17th April 2015. They will be completing the landing formalities on the same day they land. In my case, I have already completed the landing formality here at CIC Vancouver on 18th Feb 2015 somehow ( although I know that primary applicant has to land first before the dependent but I was just lucky.... and again I will only get my PR card once my wife lands) . I am a bit startled with the mail from CIC as they claim that failure to comply with the medical within 7 days may result in the closure of my file as my old medical has already expired. This is in contrast to the mail they send 2 month back where they mentioned that my medical will expire on 22nd April 2015 ( i guess that's why we have got 22nd April as our expiration date on immigration visa too). What do u suggest as I don't want to spend 300 CAD unnecessarily on this. I have already sent them a mail but they take a month to get back. Also, they don't pick calls anymore. Any suggestions are most welcome. Do u think they can cancel my PR if I decide to wait for their reply before getting a new medical (if required) ?
Thanks for your kind inputs in advance.
