I got DM on May1 but still waiting for PPR.... Sad

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum but have gone through recent posts and find it very useful to share knowledge between other forumites. My timeline is as below:

NOC: 2241
NDVO
App. Received: 23.06.2014
PER: 21.10.2014
Processing Started: 10.12.2014
MR: 29.12.2014
Med Received/ ECAS 3rd Line : 23.01.2015

It's been almost 4 months and I haven't received any further update from NDVO. Please note that I did my medicals from Shanghai(China) due to my employment abroad and my wife did her medicals from India. We informed them about my wife's pregnancy during medicals (Expected due date is end of June) however she completed her medicals and did X-ray with protective shields as suggested by her doctor. Meantime I have returned to India and have renewed my passport due to exhausted pages. Now my questions are:

1. Could this delay in PPR be due to my wife's pregnancy?
2. Do I need to update NDVO with my 'Travel History' as I have traveled abroad after submission of my application?
3. How to update NDVO about new passport details?

1) yes it could be a reason...after the birth inform vo nd they will send you list of required documents to add your child in application...

Dear All,

I have few queries.. although it is too early as my DM is not updated on eCAS.

1. How much cash (in USD terms) i/individual can carry and pass through customs from Indian emigration. Do we need to declare something while leaving. I have got info for opening bank account in scotia bank from India itself . But my query is specific for info required for carrying cash.

2. If we are having some jewelry to bring to Canada, can we declare at Canadian immigration by showing pics etc and can bring it later on 2nd visit to Canada, or it would be required to come on my 1st landing to Canada only. Secondly same as cash how much jewelry/gold can we carry before passing through Indian emigration and customs?

3. can anyone help me giving schedule of CIIP sessions for August and September month of this year.


Pls help me advising on above queries.. tks..

1) No they are just assesing the case. Its all right and you will hear from them soon

2) No you dont need to share any travel history now since you have submitted application before. Just stay calm

3) Just make a covering letter and send a scan copy of passport to them
