Got PER on 26/3 but haven't hward from cic since then until two days ago when my visa office sent me a CIIP invitation, does this mean they started processing my file?

My ecas still showing, we received your application on 29/12..

Hi Guys,

Need your expert opinion on this,

Once I do my landing, can I immediately come back to India and fly back to Canada without my PR card in my hand?

I want do the landing formalities for my family along with me and then drop my daughter back in India, within a weeks time.

You can certainly come back but to re-enter Canada. You will need PR Card or Travel documents.

so i print page with that receipt and sent it to processing centre same day.. and then after 10 hours i receive a another receipt to my email and i think that the official receipt. are they gonna send me back the application papers?? what should i do? pls help

What you have sent is good for VO. at the top of the receipt, You will find Receipt number. That should be good

Well...Hello to all my friends..

Now that I have started a new life here in Canada, its my duty to keep my friends updated with the new things which I am seeing and facing here.
I landed here on 7 of march 2015 and till now I have spent 2.5 months here in Mississauga, Ontario.
I have already shared the LANDING EXPERIENCE with you guys and I hope that was helpful for you people who are planning for landing.

Right now I am waiting in a Air Canada lounge @ Vancouver, International Airport for my flight back to Toronto. Shortly I will be sharing lots of Good and Bad experiences with you guys and assure you these stories will only make you more hopeful and positive rather than pessimistic.

I am going back to Toronto with a JOB APPOINTMENT LETTER in my own field which I was practising from last 7 years in India. ..YES...YES...YES... in my own field, you read it right... and in just 2.5 months... So, I am going to shift in The Beautiful City Vancouver from 1 june 2015.


Catch you guys soon, as its my boarding time now... Now I will keep on updating you about what I did, how I made it, tricks to survive and lots of other things....

Hello Seniors,

I am re-filling Generic-Application Form to add my wife to the application, I have few queries under dependent section

1. For question 3 under personal details (asking for UCI number), what i need to fill. As my wife is applying for the first time i am leaving this section as blank, i am confused whether it should be blank or write my UCI number.
2. For question 3 under Education/Occupation Details (asking for Current Occupation and Intended Occupation), what i need to answer? My wife is currently not working and a home maker. Please let me know what I need to fill in for these questions.

CIIP invitation does not mean they have started processing on your application. Looking at your timelines. You will see SL on eCAS in 10 - 15 days time.

Avg processing time for Paris VO from PER to 2nd Line (Processing started) is around ~ 60 days

You have nothing to lose, send again the official receipt. Scan it and send it via CSE and send the hard copy by courier with a cover letter explaining the situation.

2.it should be home maker

Those who have paid RPRF online, can you please confirm that this is the correct procedure:

Had a quick question regarding the online payment. Please check if the below procedure is good.


Click on Pay your fees online under If you live outside Canada, you can: Section

Select the country under "Where are you paying from? (required)" and Select Right of Permanent Residence Fee- no express entry " What are you paying a fee for? (required) ". Click on Get payment instructions button

For a family of two adults and 1 child, we only need to pay for 2 and a total amount of 980 CAD$?

On this page, Select Pay my fee online under Pay online section

Click Continue. Check the box I have read and understood the above terms and conditions. and click continue again

Select Immigration and then select Right of Permanent Residence Fee

Mention 2 under Number of Applicants next to 480 CAD. Click Submit. On the next page, It will give you a summary. Click Pay

On the next page, Click on Register to create a new account with CIC. It will ask you for Email address, your desired password and ask you to setup security questions incase if you forgot your password.

Select Credit Card and fill in the details.

You will get receipt number and there will be link to go to your account.

You will see three options , Save, Print and Email. You can press save and PDF will be save on your PC

Yes that is the correct procedure, i heard in one of the member that CIC online payment tool has issues, need to wait till next week and they will send the Receipt as PDF document in the email.

Indeed I did the same, got the receipt in the email, took a printout of that and submitted it for VO.

1. Under Section A, whose names we need to write for "Applicant" and "Spouse or common law partner". is it..

My Name for "Applicant" and
My wife name for "Spouse or common law partner"

or

My Wife name as "Applicant" and
My name as "spouse or common law partner"

She is not having work experience. she just completed her masters, so confused !
