Hi all,

My ecas changed to DM today. Anybody have the idea how many days it will take to receive PPR?

Firstly, many congos to you on the DM status

Once the status is changed to DM, hopefully u should get the PPR in few days ( 1-5).
Keep latest passport photos ( two photos) of Canadian specifications ready, as you will need to submit the photos with passports.

Canadian PR visa in not Valid in US for transit.
you will need to have a transit visa.
I believe US and European countries need transit visa, however travelling via Gulf countries and London, may not require.
I may be wrong, but its better to check VISA rules travelling to Canada.
Also, google the forums before booking a flight.

My application reached CIC on 9/10/2014 and I got PCC for India on 16/10/2014 (few days after applying)

Now I got MR email also asking for India PCC but PCC is older than 6 months. But since I got PCC after applying, would it be valid?

Or I need to get new PCC?

R u done with MR?
if you are done with MR, you will get PPR in 2-3 months time, which is normal timeline.

Yes MR done and visa office received my medical and 3rd line got updated on 4th November.

If you have got your PCC from Local Police Station/DM Office then the validity will be 6 months.....This must be clearly written there...This is valid for 6 months.....In that case you have to get the new PCC........I submitted the PCC issued from DM Office with validity of 6 months.....I submitted teh same with my initial application......But, NDVO has asked me to submit PCC again with Medical Proof.....

If issued from PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) then the validity is 1 year......

Based on this you take the call.....I suggest that u take PCC from PSK to avoid any delays in getting the same......

A quick question I got my DM on 9th May awaiting for PPR.
ECAS says that "A decisions has been made on our application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." If everyone who got update has the same statement specially the second line the office will contact you....... Plz advise urgently it is like deep freezing and hoping everything is normal.

Thanks,

You will need a transit visa to travel via US but for most European Countries you won't need transit visa if your connecting flight is from the same airport and you won't need to leave airport.

Nothing to worry. From your timeline it looks Decision is in your favor. You will receive PPR soon.

P.S. Everybody has exact same line on ECAS.
