applicant passport and dependents passports in separate couriers

I guess you will receive your passports in one envelope. Even if they are sent separately in two envelopes, you will receive them at once.

Try reaching out to the courier customer care and ask them the question as a query. They should be able to answer it for sure

Hi,

i received my application number in the Month of October 2014 generated by CIC. Thereafter have not heard anything from CIC For my medicals or PCC. the general processing time taken by Visa Office is 12 months from the time the file reaches CIC ( M \y file reached CIC on June 2014). its almost been more than 1 yr....have sent few mails to Delhi Visa Office also but no replies even after the processing time has exceeded. Any advice on the same from anybody

Dear Friends,

I have planned to land in canada end of Aug 15 for 3 days and then come later to shift forever. My passport expires in Oct 15 and i need to renew it immediately. I currently live in Germany with my family. My query is

1) When my passport is renewed (it will be renewed by end July 15), what will happen to my Canada visa in my old passport? Do i have to get restamped? Or the visa in old passport still valid? The embassy told that they will not touch the visa.

Please reply as soon as possible since i need to renew my passport immediately.

I had mailed NDVO recently and i got a reply saying as follows
Under Canada’s immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

What does mail mean.... as my application las5 update was on oct 2014 so still checks are going on.. or it started after i submitted my daughters documents...

Can anybody tell me how to book an appointment on the stupid VFS site for passport submission. I cant even find a link to check available dates. And their call centre is already closed.

So happy to inform that I checked ECAS couple of hours ago and saw the status changed to "Decision made".

What a perfect weekend. The passport was already submitted yesterday at VFS centre.

Congrats to everybody who got positive updates today and wishing everyone a speedy process ahead.
