Hi,

I applied for PCC from PSK office in my city. I got 2 printed police clearance certificates after police verification but there is no clearance stamp on my passport. Will not having PCC stamped on passport be a problem for Canada PR process (Visa stamp/PPR) etc? Please advice. Thanks.
PCC is a seperate certificate. Police or PSK do not stamp anything on your passport.

PCC will just have a statement which will say something like this

"This is confirm that there are no criminal cases registerd against person XXXXX, Passport No YYYYYY."

In addition, PCC will normally be on official letter head and there will be a seal and signature of the issuing authority on the PCC.

I partially agree with alok4best. In my case, the Passport office did put a stamp giving details of File no., Endorsement date and PCC for "Country" on one of the empty pages. However, I know from past experience that this stamp was purely for their internal reference in future (by Passport Dept) and did not have anything to do with the PCC. I didn't submit any copy of this passport stamped page, just the original PCC.

Hi Friends,
I am planning to fly to Toronto in August. I intend to apply for a driving license there. I have an Indian Driving License. The Ontario transport department portal states that we need to submit a letter along with the original driving license to apply for a G license.

Just wanted to know if some one has got an experience letter issued from any RTO in India. If you can share the same on email. Pls confirm.

hmmm. either way, CIC VO are only bothered about the signed and sealed document. stamping on passport is of no interest to them.

Hello guys,
Couple of days back I have received my passport with stamping, but I have 2 questions, request to please answer this?
1) how much amount has to be carried while traveling with family and do I have to also carry in cheque or DD for the balance shown during processing?
2.) my plan is to visit for one month and come back, but I came to know in general that the PR cards will come on the address given and that too registered with our name-- is it true???
If not, stamping has only single entry, how to enter permanently for my 2nd trip. Just want to know pros and cons!?

Thanks,
Imran

1. Options are to carry cash, or a travellers cheque, or part cash + part account statement. In some cities, you also have the ability to open an account with Scotia Bank and deposit all money there. I personally like the Bank account option the most.
2. Yes, when you land, you would be asked for an address. I think it is possible for someone else to collect the PR card at the given address.
However, when you want re-enter, you need to get in touch with Canadian embassy, and get their help to obtain alternate travel documents. This is because technically, you, a permanent resident, cannot be given a Visitor VISA. you may have to run around a bit, but it is possible.

Hey forumites!!
Finally received my passport with the maple leaf!

322 days from the application sent :)
Landing now in july!

A quick question though about landing

What all does one need to fill in form B4 - as in is it just the valueable stuff or everything (clothes, socks and other stuff)

Just to let everyone know that my PPR arrived on the 16th. Thank God this process is almost through.
