Hi everyone.
Actually I am an international student in Canada. During winters I came to India for holidays and applied for re entry visa and was refused even though I had my study permit.
Problem is my approach was very lenient as I thought they give it easily. Secondly I have been part time student in between too. And I extended my study permit after it expired within 90 days and got a new one though.
I am thinking to reapply again addressing their question like why it is taking me time to complete my course and usual things like travel history, purpose of visit and ties to home country. Any suggestions plz?
Also will my restoration study permit and part time thingy might be a problem?

Why did you go back to India without reapplying for the visa? Honestly I'm not surprised they refused you. It looks like you think of Canada as a birth right and take the rules for granted.

I know it's my mistake but what can I do now when I am so close to finishing my course. This rejection will lead me no where :(

Sad to hear , But you took it really easy.

1.Apply again with strong ties to home country. [Very important]
2. Get some supporting docs from school, explaining that you're are left with only few courses.
3. Write a explanation letter.

Good Luck.

They don't know about your part-time status. Did you became part-time after permit extension ? And for how long ?

I was part time in two semesters. When I got study permit extension I was part time that semester but they still gave me study permit. But when applied the first time for re entry visa I submitted my transcript and that how they got to know. I should not have submitted my transcript. This time I don't know how to defend myself

1. Write a SOP. [Important]
2. Get a letter from school stating that you have some courses left.
3. If possible show a job, which you will join in home country after graduation. Need to show strong ties.
4. Don't forget to add Study permit in the application.

Good Luck.
