Hello! I have a Multiple-Entry Visa that will expire this June 2010 and I have a work permit that will expire Aug 2011. I am planning to visit a relative this August 2010 for only a week. Do I need to renew my visa? Where? and How? Thanks and I hope someone can help.

You can renew your visa, as PMM suggested, to visa offices in the US.

Single LCP PR applicants have a shorter wait. In the Philippines, it takes about 22 months to process after first stage approval, and application kit sent there. There is an LC2 thread in this forum.

Wait for your OWP before you go on a vacation or go on a vacation while on a WP as LIC (within the 6-7 month processing). Ask for a letter from your employer allowing you to go on a vacation and that you're going back to work for them when you return to Canada.

Well it certainly is better to go on a vacation after you already have your PR. Wala na masyado tanong sa pagbalik mo. Where are you in Canada? Just make sure that you have a valid TRV/WP should you want to go on a vacation bago dumating yung PR mo. 18 to 22 months is certainly a long time, add to that the 6-7 months processing sa Vegreville. Nakakaiyak.

Para sa TRV app mo, attach a copy of your contract (para sa proof of funds) and WP. Alam naman na nagwork ka dito so they know may tinatanggap ka.

thanks for the advice job seeker! so in summary ok lang ako umuwi di b? so ang kailangan ko is contract, WP, letter from the employer, application form, photos and kailangan din pala yung original passport ipadala kasama ng application? pay stubs kailangna pa b? thanks again for the advice much appreciated! ayaw ko muna pabook ng ticket kc antayin ko muna maipass ang application ko for TRV, is there a reason for them na hindi ako igrant ng visa? btw, i am in edmonton alberta, san ka? tagal bang magfinalize ng papers for the PR LCP application? thanks!@

For your TRV:

Attach ka rin ng copy ng contract mo. Hanggang kailan ang validity ng WP mo? What about yung TRV mo? Just make sure na bago ka umuwi lahat ng papers na hawak mo current at valid, namely TRV, WP at contract at letter galing sa employer mo na magbakasyon ka lang.

hello job seeker, yung WP ko kakarenew lang valid hangga jan 15 2012, ung TRV ko ngayon lng ako talaga kukuha ung last single entry ko is 2008 pa valid, kaya yun, ipapadala n b agad yung passport sa application ? nabasa ko kc sa document checklist is kasama yung passport na original, thank you aayusin ku n nga thank you ha! so sa funds i dont need some bank statement ha? thanks and god bless and sa walang sawa mong pagrereply ! ;D

Oo. Pa courier mo para sigurado makarating. Ako paranoid, photocopy ko lahat ng application pati passport at visa na nakakabit sa passport. Kung may nakatago ka naman sa bank, samahan mo na rin.
