Hello.
When we did our soft landing 2 years ago, we added jewellery (greater than CAD 10k) along with photos and value in our Goods to Follow list.
Subsequently, now when we permanently move to Canada, do we need to declare to Customs at Toronto Airport that we have arrived with the jewellery? Or can we just go straight through the 'Nothing to Declare' line?
This is important to know as my wife will be travelling alone with two 2-year old toddlers and just want to see if I can reduce her hassle a little bit (legally).
Thank you.

Only new jewelry would need to be declared. She may want to travel with her list of goods you declared (even an electronic copy) in case she ever gets questioned.

Hello Talal, can you briefly explain the format you used to declare all the Jewelry during the soft landing 2 years ago?
Also, Did you get jewelry appraised by a jeweler and attached the assessment for each item or attached any pre-exisiting purchase receipts?
Or simply printed photos of Jewellary and added a rough estimated value based on weight and the market price?
