Dear All,

I want to apply for a visitors visa for my maternal uncle and aunt from India. We applied for it twice earlier and got a refusal with similar reasons. I want to apply for the third time because I would really like them to visit me for couple months.

I am looking for recommendations and some direction on how to apply it third time with adequate proof and rationale to convince VO. There is nothing to hide and this is a straight forward application but we can't seem to be able to convey this message.

Following are the reasons we were given:

1) You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:

- Travel history
-Length of proposed stay in Canada
- Purpose of visit

2) I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in going to Canada or ot maintain yourself while in Canada ad to effect your departure.

Any direction, thoughts you can provide in strengthening the application would be very helpful.

Thank you.

First, a two months' visit is too long and indicates weak ties to India. That would explain the 'Length of proposed stay in Canada' refusal reason.

1. When did they apply?

2. What is the purpose of their visit?

3. What documents did each of them submit?

4. Have they traveled to countries that require visas (US, UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc)?

5. What strong ties can they demonstrate: Employment/ Business/ Retired + property/land ownership or a lease agreement + dependent family that live with them + financial situation, etc

Many thanks for taking the time, Bryanna. Please see my response below.

- What is the ideal visit? 15 days? Worst they can go back in 15 days and perhaps come back in year provided they have visa.

1. When did they apply?
Around May - June 2016. They applied twice within a period of a month.

2. What is the purpose of their visit?
Just visiting myself and family and spending time with us. There will of course be some sight seeing as well but that is not the primary reason.

3. What documents did each of them submit?
All the forms, fees, mandatory documents like passports etc. Uncle works so presented active employment. Tax returns, they own a home so ownership documents and liquid assets.

4. Have they traveled to countries that require visas (US, UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc)?
They have never travelled outside of home country

5. What strong ties can they demonstrate: Employment/ Business/ Retired + property/land ownership or a lease agreement + dependent family that live with them + financial situation, etc
They already did demonstrate employment, property documents and financial situation. Entire family apart from myself lives there and really no intention whatsoever to settle down abroad but how do you really translate this intention to a document that VO considers in the biggest dilemma.

@curiousdan

1. You would need to post the list of documents that each applicant submitted. It is difficult to advise otherwise.

2. And, also do provide more details for this: What strong ties can they demonstrate: Employment/ Business/ Retired + property/land ownership or a lease agreement + dependent family that live with them + financial situation, etc

3. What exactly was mentioned as the purpose of visit in the invitation letter?
