HI, updating my timeline.
Background check changed to: in progress for second time, today, 09 December,2016

I did not get any e-mail, or ghost e-mail for that change. Usually i got e-mail when these changes happened( I think).
I checked profile yesterday and it was 'Background check Not needed at this time' yesterday.

Did You others get any e-mail when that changed?

I believe the deadline to submit the passport after PPR is 30 days.
Anyone know if it is possible to extended the deadline?

I searched few threads, and did not find a valid answer.
Someone said, I can send a request for extension by sending all travel plan and itinerary, but someone said it is not extendable.

It depends on the IRCC decision after you discuss your problem with them, whether they would extend or not.
