Seniors ,

Any response on this ,as I also got RCMP request and I was going through sites ...its Processing time is 3 days .. can anyone confirm based on their experience.

Also whether we should get RCMP posted to us ,and then send to CIC or what is the best approach.

Regards,

Regards,
What sites are you going through? If you are inside Canada, you can go to those places called "Commissionaries" and get finger-printed. They'll forward your prints to RCMP online and your RCMP reports will be mailed to you. We got ours in 2 weeks ...

ZingyDNA & Goku,

Today i went for my RCMP fingerprints at an agency (as listed on the RCMP website)- They advised me to simply add my application no. and the CPC-Ottawa address and RCMP will directly mail it over to that Ottawa address.

Since i have been given ~4 weeks to get the RCMP originals to CPC-Ottawa, i decided to go ahead with the option of having RCMP sending it directly to CPC-Ottawa. Could you comment if this was OK process wise..?

I didn't get and will not receive any Acknowledgement for this except for the payment receipt. Should i also reply back to the CPC email letting them know that is should be on its way?

Any comments is much appreciated

My concern in this is that what proof we have that RCMP certificate was send to CIC.

Also can you give the address(CIC address) you gave to the agency where the certificate is to be mailed.

Whats the processing time?

If you dont mind can you also mention the agency name.

I was following this link, http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm

so here it seems that you need to fill form c216-C which is not available online ,so i mailed to CivilNPS@rcmp-grc.gc.ca and got auto reply.

So I am bit confused on the process ,that whether we have to just to go to police station or Accredited agency and give fingerprints ...what about form c216-c.

Any help on clarifying my doubts will be greatly appreciated.

I am going to my home country next friday and I want to get done with this before that.

honestly?

don't make it complicated because it really isn't.

1) go to an accredited agency: I went with http://www.redsealnotary.com/ as there are locations near me but I also heard good things about https://www.commissionaires.ca/en/national/home

2) The easiest thing is to request digital prints which are uploaded straight away into the RCMP database. The agency will ensure you fill out the correct forms.

3) pay the money

4) keep hold of the receipt in case there is an issue and you can show CIC (never heard of this happening though where the agency was at fault)

I was requested an RCMP certificate for primary applicant. Following is my experience of obtaining the certificate:
I went to CII fingerprinting (in Toronto) on 30 Apr and they took and sent my fingerprints to RCMP electronically. Total cost was 50$ plus tax. I got my RCMP certificate in mail today (6-May), pretty quick I'd say.
