I was told that the certificate would be sent to me via Canada post, and I had to upload that certificate on the CIC portal.

what did you upload in the portal?
I got an RCMP request on 16 March, I got fingerprinting done on the same date with a private agency. Waiting since then.

I believe it's the IRCC Webform.

I asked them after 2 weeks.
When did you submit?
I submitted on March 16th and requested the status after a week they mentioned they are having backlog and processing the request. They sent to your home address ? i thought they suppose to send to CIC.

Not applying for citizenship atm but have been following this thread because I also recently did the RCMP check. Did fingerprints on Mar 17. They must have mailed the result (from Ottawa?) to Victoria BC before Mar 30 because my name change requiring the check was finalized on Mar 30, meaning the mail must have gone out before that. Not bad given the pandemic and everything I think!

I submitted my FPs to the agency on the 16th of March.
I contacted RCMP yesterday and they confirmed that my FPs had been processed on 30th March and the results mailed directly to IRCC Vancouver.

@Usher9387 and @GokulGuruprasad,
Can you guys please share the email/phone where you sent your inquiry to RCMP? I did my fingerprints on 27-March and it has almost been two weeks and wanted to confirm the status.

After the RCMP confirmation, which number do you use to contact IRCC?
Also, how many days after RCMP mails out do we talk to IRCC to confirm that the FP result reflects on the application?

2 to 3 weeks after RCMP mail out date.

Call IRCC number or ask on the email sent for fingerprints request.

Hi guys,

Is fingerprint is mandatory for everyone (all applications) or it depends on case to case?

I called IRCC to check but its not updated in my profile and they told me they do have backlog in mail processing so there is a delay
