That's not true, we are lucky that we had such nice immigration minister.
All quota has been increase compare to prev years, you wait for your turn as Canadian system is point base and if you deserve then you will get your number soon.
In few month draw will increase from 1500 a month to 3000 then you will see drop in points.

With regards to Siryan, yes they are priority for our government as they living in war torn country and need support from Country like Canada. thats does not means that they taking some one else quota.

The refugees will cause troubles, skilled migrants are less likely to cause anything but bring skills and knowledge. Canadian immigration is suffering because of refugees, not vice versa.

Hello every one,

I am in a confused situation, I did my veterinary science bachelors from India, did my WES evaluation which states Canadian equivalency to 5 years of professional study in veterinary medicine and I need licence to practice it. On other hand, I came to Canada in 2012 Jan as student to centennial college and graduated from food science diploma which is of 2 year duration (16 months: 4 semesters Fast track). Now when i made a EE profile i was unaware of extra points i get awarded and just made a profile by choosing level of education bachelors to bachelors and diploma as diploma, i was stuck at 461. Later i realized from forum that i can claim points and made changes to my EE profile as Two or more degree option, suddenly my points bumped up to 481.

After reading some question and answers on forum, i went on to a page that one of our friend suggested in this thread http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp
and currently, my human capital: Level of education in CRS calculation is 128 but i see 135 will be awarded if i choose professional degree needed to practice since veterinary medicine falls under it.
So i did choose level of education for Veterinary as professional degree needed to practice and WES report provided, Diploma from Canada level of education i filled two or more degree since this diploma is not related to veterinary science and doesnt need a licence to work. But points didn't bump up, i am still at 128 for education factor
I am applying under veterinary technician Primary NOC 3213 with 2 year of experience and other jobs i did falling under B category for a period of 1.5 year, since i am not currently licenced as veterinarian but still i am in the field and trying to clear my licence.

Should i put level of education same for both? Is that the misinterpretation of the data?

Please advice, if i can make improvement in points? please.

Thank you every one.

Totally agree!
Skilled immigrants also bring MONEY , at least PoF.
Skilled immigrants will pay taxes. They will not ask for welfare.
Skilled immigrants have spent 5-10 years preparing for immigration, aka English, dergees, work exp, etc
Look at Europe and you will see what this so-called refugees are doing there.

Why they don't move to Iraq?Iran?Turkey? Other neighbors countries. NO, they want to go to Germany or UK to get MORE welfare MONEY!

Your ignorance and lack of human compassion are troubling.

Look at this image and read these numbers, while Canada only took 25,000 people, it's all but a liberal show, but in reality its nothing

These are war refugees, if you were talking about any other nation like Africans, Indians or some other Arabs I'd understand it's about more money or a better life, but we're talking about a war zone here, a US-Russia playground where no one cares about human lives.

It's been happening since the beginning of time and many nations were kind to take refugees in (USA and Canada took Bosnians in the 90s, Arabs and Spanish took European WWII refugees and some of them left later to South America) and it will always happen, you can't close the door on them.. your only concern should be whether they'll bring terrorism with them to Canada or not.

But imo Canada shouldn't have cut their numbers from the FSW, cause like you said, canada will benefit a lot from young fsw individuals

I didn't want to be dragged into a political debate but I hope you got my point

Logicall speaking what are the scores to have a good chance at express entry

Right now - 470+

What is expected to happen next year, scores will get higher or lower?

To be honest too many variables to make an informed comment. Quotas, Canadian politics, Refugees, CIC backlog, new entrants, etc.

But a safe bet will be that the CRS will reduce but will not go below 450.

On refugees:

Guys, we have to understand one thing, if you wanted to move in Canada you have to live with diversity and "Canadian politeness".

Canadian government knows what they are doing, bringing refugees was not the political drama, it was the necessity.

They already bring 25k and in future if they want they can bring 50k, don't waste time on arguing why ??

exactly, being from Europe - they have driven me out of here... along with my Indian and Pakistani colleagues, who are also moving out.

bringing in refugees is not wrong but doing it at the expense of economic immigrants is wrong they decrease the quota for economic immigrants which is wrong and counter intuitive.
Problem is government does not know what they r doing seems like they do not have people on the front line advising them .....same as previous government who started the Express entry system.

If 485 then i will never have a chance not even after i redo my ielts

Cutoff is not in your hands. IELTS is. Do your best and leave the rest to fate.

485 would be almost a definite ITA, I would say 475+ would have a "fair" chance.
