Now that the second wave has been declared in Canada, any guesses as to how it would impact the FSW draws? Because offices etc. might close down again.
They will find other means to work on applications as they have learnt from the first wave. I dont think it will affect fsw draw in any way

Pleasure! Anytime. :)

Here's an interesting article for us all: https://www.cicnews.com/2020/09/october-will-shape-canadian-immigration-for-years-to-come-0915836.html#gs.gzrkzm.

I'm interested to see:
  1. If the immigration targets for the next few years change.
  2. If anything to do with how applications are processed changes. E.g. changes to the online EE system, changes to document validity periods, and changes to how biometrics are given.
  3. If any concessions are made to allow those who are currently receiving PR to land in Canada, despite the border restrictions.
  4. If there's any mention of immigrant job-finding success.

One of the main things I'm interested to see has to do with those concessions for entry. Up to now (for those not in the US and who don't have Canadian family), it's only been those who received who received COPR on or before March 18th who've been allowed to travel to Canada to activate.

I wonder when everyone who has received COPR since then will be allowed to go.

I entered the pool as an FSW-Inland applicant today. I have a CRS of 486.

Is there a possibility that new announcements end up cancelling FSW?

Even i am panicked because i saw a video on you tube and the guy said there is second wave of covid and chances are high that IRCC might resume to PNP CEC again.

Personally I think the reason behind shifting to cec draws during the initial wave was because everything was closed down across the globe so that made sense. Even if the 2nd wave as expected comes, most of the things are still open so I believe they will persist with fsw draws.

Trudeau's throne speech strongly indicates that immigration will continue unabated, as is logical for a country that desperately needs immigrants.
What do you think about job prospects generally though? I keep reading about how hard the economy has been hit. I wonder how easy things are for newcomers now vs before COVID.
