Hello people,

My CRS is at 438 with my June 30 IELTS Result being LRWS - 8.5,8,7,7.5. Is it better if I apply EOR for Writing Module. If it increases to 7.5, my CRS goes up to 441 but if I apply for EOR,I cannot use this IELTS TRF until the EOR Results are out.I am worried that if I apply for EOR and the draw score reduces to high 430s,I might miss the invite.Any Suggestions?

My NOC is 2173.

I will let you decide , but let me clarify the current scenario to you.
1) With a draw size of 3750 and biweekly draws , chances are, we may hit 438 in next couple of months. But hear is a catch to that . Draw size will be 3750 for another draw as per the observed pattern , then it may increase most probably or may decrease too.
2) This year draws are not frequent as like last year and the number of 440+ entries are unprecedented. All predictions have failed so far . Since score has never dipped below 440 , so I believe there are more than 2000 people between 440 to 438. With given cutoffs it seems a long way before we reach there , given that draw size increase and are consistent, without a skip .
3) ITA targets are more than last year so we are hoping we may see some frequent draws. But don’t know how things will turn out eventually, given that so many high CRS entries are coming in the pool everyday.
Given all these points , it is less likely we reach 438 before a couple of months and with a draw size of 3750+ for all the upcoming draws.
I hope this analysis help you make a decision on your dilemma.

Hey dude I feel you man, I'm also at 438 with my writing at 7, but since I have a 9 in reading, chances are my writing has already been rechecked by a 2nd examiner. I may just sit another exam..

Yes,Whatever you said makes sense.2000 people between 438 to 440 is crazy high.I am thinking to wait out till the next draw and if the CRS draw sticks to 440+,I am planning to apply for EOR the next second.Hopefully,I get my EOR Results within 2 weeks.IDP India delivered my EOR Results within 2 weeks last month. Thanks for your inputs.

I was happy for a split second that I crossed the much reckoned 6.5 Writing barrier, but was pretty sad from the next second as I missed CLB 10 and 441 CRS score by scoring 0.5 less in Writing.
This Canadian PR has to be the longeeeeest dream I ever dreamt.:confused:Hope never dies.Dream never ends.Trying to make this dream a reality is mentally draining.

ATB for your next IELTS.

Hi everyone!

IELTS results came out (Jun 30 test) and thanks God I achieved the minimum required for the program French Speaking Skilled Workers (a OINP). :)
I was so afraid because I couldn’t finish Writing task 2 (my fault... terrible time management between task 1 and task 2... I wrote only like 180 words for task 2).

But, now I am noticing that OINP have stopped sending Notifications of Interest since May 30. Have you read news regarding OINP? Have they finished sending Notifications of Interests for this year? Hopefully they restart again soon.

Hi again,

I am just noticing that they recently updated the guide (document is effective since july 9, 2018). That’s a good sign :).

http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps_010517.pdf
I am not saying it is a good sign but you must be aware that Government has changed in Ontario and the whole portfolio of Immigration has been repolished into a different ministry altogether. So it is highly likely that the document revision is a step in that direction. So probably document revision is due to regime change and not a sign of restart.

Same situation here mate. Sitting at 438 since Nov last year. I thought 438 was going to be more than enough to get an ITA but .. here we are now in July and nothing yet. Honestly never thought about the option of a 2nd checking of the exam. Maybe that would have been very helpful but now it is just to late for me after so many months. I am re-taking IELTS in Aug to max it out and reach 444. Hopefully that will be enough to get the ITA. Will see. Besides I need to do something before I lose 5 points in Oct first week so.
My recommendation would be: Go for the 2nd assessment and hopefully you will get the points you need. Do not wait for possible drops in score or something else because when we expect that finally will reach 440 or even lower then they skip a draw, reduce the invitations, IELTS results are out, Canadian Holiday, draw for other programs, etc etc etc etc etc

Same boat as you with a 7 in writing and CLB 9 in everything else. Applied for an EOR but it went unchanged so I'm sitting at 438 as well.
I'm sitting for IELTS again on the 28th...I waited for this last draw to make my decision. Things don't seem too bright after last draw and every point counts. I'd advise you to do the same.

The ielts speaking evaluaters in india are a bunch of pricks. They are rude, cut you off in the middle of sentences with an overall I'm better than you attitude. That's what happens when locals become 'english' evaluators. Expect no more than a 7, no matter how well you speak.

I feel for you.Sitting with 438 for 9 months without invite is gut wrenching.Yeah,I will send my score for recheck immediately. Its better to do whatever is possible when there is a chance.ATB for your exam.Hope you get 444 and the invite :)
